Was think about what historically produces better than average quality fish and in my opinion these are the Top 3 "traditional" baits that consistently produce better than average fish during the pre spawn period.
Thanks for watching!
Hello,
I was wondering what are you guys favorite lures when it is just starting to get the temperature over 50's and in the mid-'60s. I tend to fish pretty clear water, it has been pretty windy these past days, and I tend to fish ponds, but I am trying to fish the Nashua River but I have never known what to really throw in Rivers even though I only live a couple of minutes away. So what are your guy's recommendations?
Thanks
Martin Sierra
Hey all,
Was looking to finally get a spinning rod for finesse fishing. Really just looking for something that can toss some lighter lures. I tend to fish spots with fish that run 3lbs and larger so a good reel is a must; however, I'm not looking to get a Stella though haha. Used a Shimano Sienna for years, and that's been great. However, I wonder if they still make them like they used to. Anything below $100 is good. Anything below $75 is great. Really, anything durable and with minimal flexing in the body of the reel will do. Might also be worth mentioning I plan on using it for the occasional redfish and flounder. Thanks for any recommendations. Cheers!
Hey all,
Weather in Virginia has been all over. Has been hard to tell how far along the bass are as far as the pre-spawn goes. In my estimation, many fish are still holding to winter patterns, no? Anyway, from what you all have seen would y'all say we are closer to the beginning or the end of the pre-spawn? Thanks and cheers!
I've read a lot of articles here and on various other websites that say to search for pre-spawn bass in the northwest coves & bays of lakes/reservoirs, because the NW generally warms first and these areas are protected from cold winds coming out of the north. Does this mean to ignore the other coves and bays that may be on the south or east? I know from reading that it's also important to find structure running from deep to shallow. I've got maps of a few lakes I plan to fish this spring, and I like having somewhat of a gameplan before I ever hit the water.
This is a forum on bass behavoir right now: are they bedded or cruisin the shallows, are they agressive or suspended on ledges, etc...
I'm in illinois and i've had a little luck on ledes and points due to the fluctuating weather we've been having, but, given that said weather is stabilizing, my luck is going to schtako. So, tell us where you are, whats lures have been workin, the bass' behavoir, and where the hell you've been findin 'em!!!
