    Hey guys, I'm looking for a solid and versatile reel for my punching set up, any suggestions? Specifically, I'm ONLY interested in a baitcasting reel that has a "flipping switch". These seem to be impossible to find, but an example of a reel with a flipping switch is the Lew's Super Duty G. Also, I heard that Abu Garcia's black max and silver max have them in specific models. Please help me and list some suggestions, I've scoured the internet and can't find many options. Finding a reel with a flipping switch is my main concern. What do you guys know (P.S. This is unimportant but im throwing it on a 7'3 Okuma Scott Martin Signature TCS Casting Rod Heavy, Fast action because I like the way Scott martin fishes and I'm using it in a kayak so i can't really work a legit 7'11 Ex Heavy flippin stick.) What are the best baitcasters with a flipping switch option? Idc if it's $20 or $400 Thanks!!!!!!

    Hello, Just curious if any would share their experiences using a punch rig setup with a bait that has a hook slot, like som of the Rage baits, etc. I haven't ordered any baits to try it, but am curious if the slot helps to use a straight shank hook, and get better hookup rate, or if it takes too much bulk out of a bait? I could se punching with a 1.5 oz being enough going through the mat to expose the point and cause hang ups? I was hoping others could share their experiences if they have tried it? Thanks, Clemmy

    Looking for some help. I have an 83 Forester Pro Bass 162 with a 1985 Mariner 115hp (Tower of power inline 6cly). The RPM meter when it does work flirts around 3800 rpm at full throttle. Th boat is only 16.2 feet long and even with just myself in the boat, I can only get it up to 39mph on a calm day. The prop has a few nicks in it but is in decent shape no major chips taken out or anything. My question is this. I feel like i should be getting more speed out of this boat. It does have a hydrofoil on it white helps my hole shots. I tried taking it off and couldn't even get the boat to go over 33mph. When full throttle in most boats, you can trim up the motor and find the sweet spot where it rides smoother and a little faster. With this boat, trim al the way down at hole shot, once on plane the trim doesn't help in fact actually seems to almost hurt the boats speed when trimming up. Im currently looking at a jack plate to try and get less drag out on take off and hopefully after fine tuning, a better top end speed. Does anyone have a similar set up (boat wise) as i do and if so what your numbers looking like for speed and RPM? Any and all help is appreciated! -Sam

    I'm interested in an Abu Garcia Vengeance 7'6" Heavy. Have anyone had any experience with this model? Also I wanted to use it as a frog rod, pitching rod, and light swimbait rod. Would it be able to handle a 6" Weedless Hudd ROF5? Thanks in advance!
