  1. Hello, I was just fishing yesterday (no bites) and, I saw this guy that was on his kayak fishing the pond I was also so I decided to see if he had caught anything. He said no but told me that he once caught a 6lb bass, (he also showed me a picture) the official record in NH is 10lb 8oz, so that bass was big for here. So my question is how can a bass living in a 0.01-acre pond which is a HEAVILY pressured be 6lbs?!? The pond doesn't even have minnows or shad, but there are tons of bluegill. Sorry for this pretty stupid question, but I just can't wrap my head around this. Confused, Martin Sierra
  2. Hello, I was wondering what are you guys favorite lures when it is just starting to get the temperature over 50's and in the mid-'60s. I tend to fish pretty clear water, it has been pretty windy these past days, and I tend to fish ponds, but I am trying to fish the Nashua River but I have never known what to really throw in Rivers even though I only live a couple of minutes away. So what are your guy's recommendations? Thanks Martin Sierra
  3. Hello, Just wondering if anyone knows some good spots around an hour or so from Nashua, NH (they could be in NH or MA)? I've been looking for some new spots to fish from the bank this year. Thanks Martin
  4. Hey everbody, this question is directed to new Hampshire swimbait fishermen. I'm getting into swimbaits and I'm looking for a swimbait specific rod, I keep going back and forth between dobyns fury 795 sb 1-5 oz and fury 806 sb 2-8 oz. I'm planning on using 6 inch line thru trout spro bbz 1 jr Huddleston 68. But not sure if the 8 inch Huddleston and and s waver 200 and other baits around 8 inch work good in NH. I know if I'm going to be using the lighter lures then the 795 would be good. But I'm looking for suggestions on the larger 8 inch baits also would work around these parts. If so then the 806 would be better. I mostly fish ponds and some lakes in the southern area of the state out of a Jon boat. I guess the question is, do 8 inch baits work in NH like they do in other states that have DD fish. What would you swimbait guys suggest, heavier rod and bigger baits or lighter rod and around 6 inch baits? Thanks in advance.
  5. This was the first year that I was able to nail some fish before they started to do their business.. My first day of bassin' action came on a 70 degree day where I was slowly working a Catchem Caro Uncle Many Minnow which got me six fish 2 of which were above 3 pounds and I got to lay my eyes on a BEAST that ended up spitting it right under the canoe. The action was slow and steady for 2 hours then I struggled to get back on them. Today was my other real notable day, one fish but a 5.66 pounder on 1/4 oz SK swim jig with a Rage craw on the back. She slammed it and the hook was buried in the top of the mouth.. Here are some photos trying to keep after 'em!
