Hey, im new to forums, never really used em. I live in upstate ny and im an avid fly fisher for trout but ive never really actively fished for bass im just now starting to use spin reels and bait casters over my fly rod. The water here isnt all that great and i mainly fish in ponds and rivers so ive been dealing with ALOT of bluegill lately and they've been getting in the way. How different from trout fishing is bass. Could i be doing something wrong?And what should i use for the susquehanna river (has a moderate current, visibility is usually fair and water is generally on the cooler side). Ive been slow working a topwater frog, a suspending minnow, and still fishing an occasional nightcrawler with absolutely no luck. any advice would help like i said im new to bass and would really like to land some.
