Hey guys, my name is Gray Crigger and I am a 21 year old angling addict that is pretty new to the bass fishing world. I have been kayak fishing the Chesapeake Bay for saltwater species since I was 14, but I never really took freshwater fishing seriously until about a year ago. Sure, I used to go "pond hopping" in high school and often piddled around in my friend's neighborhood lake about twice a week, but I never really got past the level of throwing a texas rigged worm/lizard or popper around tiny little manmade lakes. I can't really identify the exact reason that I started to really take bass fishing (from a kayak) more seriously, but I have now become obsessed with the art form that is largemouth bass fishing. Now, don't get me wrong, I am still a mongo saltwater fan that will never get bored of hooking up to a nice big redfish or a 20+ inch flounder, but bass fishing provides me with a new challenge and I cannot stop reading researching and practicing the freshwater craft. The amount of research that can be done for bass fishing and the ability to implement the techniques leaned through that research has really got me hooked.
Another passion of mine is documenting my saltwater and freshwater adventures and thoughts through social media and youtube. I have even started a little fishing "militia" of kayak fishing friends that we call the "Chesafreak" fishing squad. We are really active on the social media front (mostly twitter and instagram) and we love to interact with fellow anglers through those mediums. We also post youtube videos that are really just fun ways of documenting our fishing adventures and random fishing thoughts/impressions (product reviews, tackle talk, ect.). We also write blog articles from time to time that go a little more in-depth on what we KNOW about saltwater techniques, products, ect... and have begun to write articles about what we don't KNOW, but are trying to learn, about freshwater strategies. I just want to use this site as a platform to ask questions or express some things that I am gradually learning about bass fishing. ILL SEE YALL ON THE BOARDS!
