    Hi all. I have started fishing for LMB this summer, and have had good success fishing a nearby pond in NYC, despite the fishing pressure. But recently in the last week, there have been many rainstorms, and the water has become very muddy. This is a manmade pond so there isn't really separation of clear and muddy water. I mainly caught bass previously on stickbaits and lizards (SLOW presentations) and had little success on fast baits. Now, given the cooler temps, I have tried more crankbaits and spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, but haven't even gotten a bite. My logic is that the fish need louder/more visual presentations given the dirty water, but I can't seem to hookup anything. Any advice is appreciated!

    Hello All, I am going back to one of our local lakes here in Spokane, WA. Newman to be exact. Apparently the state did a mil-foil treatment and the water is the dirtiest I have ever seen it. I would guess less than a foot of visibility. The lake is pretty shallow with a lot of elephant ear pads and obviously mil-foil around most of the lake. The lake has a lot of docks and there are a couple nice, steep banks that are rocky. The water temp is in the low 70s. I guess my question is, where should the majority of fish be located? I am pretty new to bass fishing as well, so any insight will help. I do have a boat if that counts for anything...

    Calling all St. Louis people. Anybody having any luck out there? I can't seem to find anywhere that will produce a stringer's worth for me. I've been everywhere from Busch Wildlife to Bee Tree Park to the Meramec/George Winter Park and have the same results...............small fish. Catfish are about the only thing I've caught consistently with decent size. So, my question is: Is it just me? My baits? Or has anyone else been striking out more than normal lately? I use the typical setups: soft baits and willow blades (see my profile picture), lipless cranks (usually sexy shad color), poppers (also shad colored), worms (blue/black, watermelon/green, pumpkin/green, or watermelon/red), and once in a while Jig (gotta have that pig trailer)

    I have had a lot of people tell me to use dark colors (black, blue, purple) when fishing muddy water and some people say us lighter colors (whit, yellow). So my question is what colors should I use in muddy water and stained water we have a lot of both where I fish.
