  1. Has anyone fished Loch Lothian in Midlothian at the Midlo Mines Park? I've looked on their website and there is no mention of fishing. It's a short distance up the road from me so I was thinking of checking it out. As a bank fisherman, I'm very limited on my spots to fish at until I invest in a kayak and roof rack for the car.
  2. Hey guys, I'm looking to find some new spots to fish in the outer Richmond area. I'm in Chesterfield and have fished Swift Creek Reservoir quite a bit, but am looking to expand my horizons. Hopefully y'all can help me out with some new spots. I fish from boat and shore. All input is greatly appreciated! Thanks
  3. Yesterday my friend Facebook me about a pond on Southlake Blvd beside Napa Auto Parts. He said that a guy landed a 10 pound BASS! So I marked the location on Google maps then asked my dad to drive me there, but he was unsure that it was public. The pond was behind some businesses. So you had to park at one of the buildings to access the pond, but they don't really care. So we parked at some real estate place. Once I got there I saw geese poop everywhere...yuck! But that's the only horrible thing about this pond. You can almost walk around the pond. Also, there was some lay-downs to fish and you can skip chatterbaits under trees that hang over the water! To left of that peninsula, the water is very deep..i think it holds catfish I saw some bass eating dragonflies so threw a strike king rage tail toad. The first cast I got a 17 inch bass. 30 minutes with no luck so I changed to a fluke. I cast it out there about 10 times. While I was twitching it back, out of nowhere a bass smashed it about 3 feet away from me. It scared the crap out of me then I started to scream like a girl lol The bass was about 18 inches. Unfortunately, I have only 1 hour to fish :/ So i left. Water Temp: 80 Air Temp: 84 Lure: Rage Tail Toad and Fluke Time of day: Evening -josh
  4. Hello all! I am new member from the Richmond, VA area (Midlothian to be exact). I have fished on and off for the past few years, but have recently fallen back in love with it. I'm 26 years old and work from home in the I.T. field. Needless to say, I enjoy the flexibility of being able to fish when my schedule is clear for the day! I don't own or a boat or kayak (though I do plan to buy a kayak soon) so I am limited to bank fishing. I look forward to meeting and fishing with others from the area! P.S. for those with boats in the area, I will exchange beer and gas money for trips out to fish with you! I've found that some of the best fishing is done by boat in the area.
