  1. Recently I tried Lake Trout jigging. People stated that all I needed was my bass gear and I'd be set. They were right for the rods but the reels failed me. Wherein the spinning reels worked great and had plenty of line (not a surprise as spinning reels naturally hold more line than bass baitcasting reels) the bass baitcasting reels did not. Using my Abu Garcia Revo Rockets which were spooled to the max they ran out of line at 180 feet. I'm using 30lbs. Power Pro braid and according to the chart that should be 140 yards/420 feet of line! Even if it was maxed out at 50lbs. line it should have 100 yards/300 feet of line. Here is a pic of my reel. Do Reel manufacturers lie about their reels line capacity?
