    Hello all, I recently grabbed some 6-inch Megabass Mag Draft swimbaits. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for rods and reels for throwing a swimbait that size? I'm more interested in reel choice. I imagine a slower gear ratio and a reel with a deep enough spool for like 15Lb fluorocarbon. Any recommendations will help! thank you!

    I am currently raising a pet Largemouth bass in a 65 gallon and will upgrade down the road when needed. But my question is, I wish to grow the bass as big as possible and then release it into a private pond(not a random one). I know aquarium fish should not be released in the wild due to them most likely not belonging in that ecosystem. But does that go for Bass as well if it’s a private pond and I treat the bass for internal parasites for awhile before releasing?

    Was out fishing the other day with my brother and a friend of his and landed my PB LMB 6.89lbs! Just wanted to share it with the group since I am beyond pumped about it and don't have to many fishing friends to share the great news with. Just wanted to brag a little ? haha Honestly I thought I snagged a log/limb and was mad about possibly loosing a lure when out of no where my line ran to my left and pulled drag! I have recently gotten back into fishing about a year ago as something to do with my son like my father did with me, but at no point did I ever expect to see or catch a Bass this large.

    Help me, please. I am a 14-year-old fisherman that just started. I hate seeing everyone around me catch fish but I can't get a single bite. I got my first ever reel this last Christmas and haven't caught a fish since last fall. (I live in Texas) I have one spinner bait and one crankbait. I also have a bunch of random soft plastics including 2 lizards, 2 different baby shad, One pack of Powerworms (or power baits don't know what they are called) I cannot get any bites and am limited to one pond called "Bailey Lake" in Burleson. I don't know what to do anymore and I'm losing hope/confidence. I really want to learn how to fish and how to do it well. I do not want to wait time walking somewhere and hoping to catch a fish if I can't even remember what a bite feels like. I would like some help, please!!! I don't know what to do anymore besides give up. Please let me know what lures, spots to fish, or colors. I 've watched so many tutorials on youtube its crazy. Nothings helping and this is the last thing I can do before I completely give up the sport. Keep in mind I don't have a car so I just can't move fishing spots because bailey lakes the closest spot near my house. I'm going to Walmart tomorrow to pick up some baits, Any suggestions/colors? (the water is like visible for 1-3 feet at the bank then its muddy.) Edit** (same day as post) I got some size 2 hooks and some nightcrawlers

    Last summer at Yellow Creek Lake, I spotted what I thought was a dead minnow, but on closer inspection it was a small largemouth with what looked like a bluegill in its mouth. The largemouth was about three inches long.

    Whats up everybody, I just wanted to get a ball rolling on a topic that is relevant at this time. So lets help everybody out and talk a little on what we like to throw in the fall. I will start of with one of my favorite fishing techniques in the fall months. My favorite technique for the fall is throwing a strike king KVD Swim N Shiner. I throw it on a 1/4 oz weighted hook with 50lb power-pro braid. I use this rig basically anywhere during the fall months but throwing it around grass or cover with baitfish present can be a great way to make some side money during the fall.

    hey guys im needing some help. i fish a pond close to my house and it has alot of vegatation such as weeds submerged, the weeds stretch maybe 6 feet from the bank then there is a drop off into deep water. i kno big bass stay around that vegetation because of bait fish. ive been using a fluke and scum frog but i wanna try other baits and im not sure what to use.... any suggestions???
