  1. Posted with Glenn's permission The 26th annual Mad Dog Moore Memorial Bass Tournament will be held Saturday October 8th at Oakridge Marina on Lake Fork. We guarantee at least $10,000 in pay outs and have a large raffle following weigh in. This is a family event with live music and barbecue for everyone who attends. The tournament was created in memoriam of Officer Michael David Moore who was killed in the line of duty during a bank robbery. The tournament will benefit the Garland Police Never Walk Alone Foundation which supports officers in crisis. The foundation helps with financial support, coordinating travel arrangements for treatments, finding available care when needed, and any thing else needed to help our officers fighting illness. For more information on the tournament you can visit www.maddogmoore.com and for the foundation http://garlandpolicefoundation.org/

  4. Hey BR, Applied some things for typical post baits/patterns for this time frame here locally in Texas on a recent trip to Lake Fork. I broke it up in a couple videos that I recently posted to YouTube. Hope you like it! Goos fishing and thanks for watching - JN
  5. Hey BR, I got to spend some time over on Lake Fork the week before Easter and wanted to share the highlights from those trips. Good Fishing! JN
  6. Hey Everyone in the BR community, Long time troller first time poster. Me and a few buddies are headed to Texas for the first time the first week of march to catch the Lunker of a lifetime. I've been researching Fork and Rayburn. If you know guides, boat rentals, lodging, I could use your help. And if you ever come up to PA I can point you in the right direction in return. Thanks, Pete
  7. For the last 5 months I've been meticulously planning a trip to Clear Lake in California. However, it seems with the recent closing of the lake and the upcoming rains that trip just isn't likely. So now I'm stuck 10 days out (leaving Feb 25) trying to come up with a new game plan. I live in Wyoming and will be trailering my boat (18' Procraft) to the destination. Looking for my best chance at a 10lb bass. All options are open within a days drive of Wyoming. I'm currently researching Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Choke Canyon, Falcon Lake, and a few others. However, first hand experience always seems to trump online research. I have zero experience at any of these locations and will be looking to hire a guide day 1 with at least 8 days of fishing afterwards. What experiences and recommendations do you all have? Where do you think my best chance at a 10 is? Thanks. Chris
  8. I have just gotten a place on lake fork and was wondering if someone could help me figure it out. Any tips will help.
  9. You read that right, BassChamps tournament Saturday, 3 fish limit, Jesse and Jeremy Flake weighed 3 fish limit that totaled 1.46 lbs....crushes my record of summer '09 when I weighed 3 that weighed 1.87 lbs.....
  10. I just moved to Mineola, TX. I'm real close to Lake Fork, which I'm pretty excited about. How is the fishing in this area right now? Are there other good places in the area that would be good on foot? I'm still waiting on my house to sell in Colorado so I can buy a boat. I still need to get my driver's and fishing licenses. Is there anything in specific I should watch out for in regards to hunting/fishing regulations, other than normal practice across the board? Thanks.
