    I have recently bought a 10ft plastic boat. I got it for extremely cheap and when I got home I discovered duct tape on the front. The hole is very small and seems possible to fix but I have no experience in this topic. I attached a photo of the damage. What would be my best bet in fixing this if it’s possible. I have some marine hoop laying around and have also gotten advice to bondo it.. would either of these work or is there something else to try? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

    Morning Gents, I came across this boat while perusing my local Craigslist and wanted to get some opinions from the experts. So far I haven’t found a lot of posts about this boat, however, the sports pal canoe from them seems to be well liked. Boat will be used on low current rivers, ponds/small lakes (when accessible) and maybe some larger lakes if I ever get the outboard bug. This is mostly for me and my 8 year old son to get out and fish in, although my wife and 12 year old may tag along from time to time. My only concern was the semi-v hull and stability as I would like to be able to stand and fish occasionally. Look forward to any any advice and opinions you guys throw my way.     I'm 19 and been fishing most of my life but am now wanting to get into specifically bass fishing. I have a 12 ft Jon boat and have been trying to fish with a 35 lb trust minn Kota trolling motor. My problem is even on the lowest Speed I'm going too fast to fish the shore line really and I am constantly adjusting the motor direction so I can't even get a complete cast in. One last thing if I turn off the motor the wind or something just spins my boat around and pushes me to the bank pretty fast. Any tips or something on how to fix this.

    New boat owner here. I recently bought a v haul jon boat. Last time I was trailering it I snapped through the old bow ring. I have been debating how to fix this. The ring is riveted into the front of the boat. It is all external. No rivets seen inside the boat. Im wondering if anyone has any advice as to removing the old bow ring and then how to replace (machine shop?) with a new one. I know they sell bow rings but I was trying to not drill holes in the boat and I'm not sure what backing (shape of otherwise) piece I would be able to use with the v haul. Any advice would be appreciated as I am lost about how to go about this.
