  1. Last night I went for fishing, I used my frog combo which is straight 65lb braid. I was good with my top waters or my swaver, But when I start to use Jitterbug I got my line in the hooks two times out of three cast. Just reporting, I know what to do next time, ill use heavy mono as leader or Flouro so it will not be tangled. Unless someone have another idea.
  2. I'm looking to replace the garbage hooks on jitterbugs and baby torpedoes. I was wondering what size/brand/style treble hooks and split rings people typically use for Topwater. I'm leaning towards Gamakatsu short shank with #2 VMC split rings. Any advice is appreciated.
  3. So my cousin gave me this very large 41/2 inch jitterbug that weighs something like an ounce and a quarter, pretty big bait has 3 treble hooks. So apparantly this is for bigger fish like pike and Muskie, but I know that bass will eat big baits. Is this just too big a bait to fish? I feel as though the only bass that could really fit in their mouth all the way would be a 5+ pounder. Catching pigs like that doesn't happen nearly as much here up north so would it even be worth fishing it for bass? FYI it is In fire tiger and it appears that my cousin never used it or caught anything with it because it is in brand new condition without any scratches on it and the hooks are still very sharp.
  4. What's the best time and place to use a jitterbug? Weeds?lillypads?
