  1. Hey guys, After having issues with the mounting of my Elite 4 HDI transducer on my Jackson Cuda 12, I finally found a solution that works..for now. It wasn't my idea since I found it online, but it worked out really well and just thought I'd share with you all. Since there is already an existing skid plate, I just had to fabricate a bracket to mount to the skid plate and transducer. Then I got the chance to try it out on the water yesterday and it seems to work and hold up. It's the easiest and most convenient solution I could come up with for now so we will see how it holds up over time. Let me know what you guys think. Here is the original link/post for reference: http://jacksonkayak.com/blog/2013/10/07/jackson-cuda-skid-plate-transducer-mount-fabrication/ Here is also another project I got done over the weekend. Kayak crate that doubles as a cart as well!
