  1. I went fishing with my wife in the pond behind the house today. Half of the bass we caught (LOL she caught) had an indent above and between their eyes (Forehead). The fish were small and kinda skinny. BACKGROUND: I am not a good fisherman. I can catch some bass but I suck. I do not know the seasonal cycle of bass so I am kinda out of my league on what Fall bass are supposed to look like. Earlier this year we had an alge kill and the pond is still pretty clear. The county extension folks said pray the food chain didn't get schwacked. The water temp is mid 50's...cold. So should I be concerned? And why do my fish have dents in their foreheads? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers!
