Hi there,
My father just purchased a houseboat, and we are changing out much of the structure. Previously there was waterproof paint and plywood for the walls. The plywood is mounted onto a steel frame, and quite a bit has rotted out. We are in the middle of changing out the rotten plywood, along with any rotten wooden framing in the walls. Roof is plywood as well, floor is fiberglass.
Here is my question: What is the most cost-efficient way to waterproof the exterior walls (plywood)?
A friend who's living is made installing Duradek has taken a look and approximated he can do it for around $3/sq. ft, labour incl.
Anyone have a good method for a comparable price?
