    Hello, I've been trying to answer this question on the Hook2 via google, but I am not have much luck. Does the Hook2 have the ability to create contour maps? From what I can tell it is compatible with SonarChart Live, which requires an active Navionics subscription. However, the TI and HDS appear to use Genesis Live maps, which appear to be created without a Navionics. Genesis live is not available on the Hook2, correct? Hummingbird allows mapping for free on their similar Helix model. I have not need for the Navionics subscription, but want the ability to create my own contours. Thanks, Rhett

    I received a Lowrance HOOK2-5X with SplitShot as a gift and installed on my Old Town Loon 126 kayak with the transducer reading through the hull. The only problem is the HDI screen never shows the bottom. Lowrance said that HDI deosnt work shooting through the hull. Anyone had any success reading HDI through the hull?
