  1. photo in B/W so it would download but try to look at side of trigger and right above where it’s shiny on the surface rubber. It’s also has fibers and more shiny sticky spots on entire front face of trigger. Maybe I’m just stuck with it but I decided to clean, grease and re lube all my fishing gear and I used a towel with rubbing alcohol to get my cork looking new again and it did a great job on most of them it removed a lot of dirt but either the alcohol or something that’s been on the rubber/plastic trigger and underside of reel seat now has shiny spots that are sticky I learned quickly not to get the rag with alcohol on that surface bc of the result you get a sticky trigger covered in fibers from the cloth and water doesn’t seem to help but I’m finding the same sort of spots on almost all of my rods and i just need to know if there is a way to clean that area of rods. I have recently used the alcohol to clean the cork but when I get close to the reel seat I stop bc I’m not sure if that’s what did it or not so yeah thank you so much in advance I’m kinda of an armature when it comes to forums and I hope that this thread isn’t a burden due to being done wrong I know it’s too long probably haha. I did try to look up how to clean hard rubber and There is conflicting answers bc one told me to use alcohol so I’m banking on you guys thx again having a sticky trigger sucks sometimes
