  1. I’ve read threads on this topic before, but they are out dated and I’ve come to terms with the fact that golf courses may or may not have gotten more strict Since said threads were posted; either that or I’m doing something wrong. How do I get to fish a golf course hazard legally? Everything I’ve read says to simply ask a receptionist or greenskeeper and “you may be surprised with the answer”. I’ve tried three different courses, two of them being public courses, the other one I didn’t realize was a membership type deal till I asked a guy in the pro shop. no luck One big problem here is idk much, like just about nothing, about golf, so idk how or where to talk to a greenskeeper or a receptionist. I’m a sociable person and I’m always polite. But I’m not sure what to do. I’m trying to do this in Boca Raton Florida. Not sure if that’s the first problem. All input is greatly appreciated. Also my first post here. So hello!
  2. Hi! This is my first post here on BassResource, I hope this will be a great experience. I have grandparents living at a golf course in south Florida. I've been fishing there most of my life but could never figure out the spawn patterns. I'm visiting them next week. I've read a lot about how bass in Florida have a mind of their own and they spawn whenever they feel like it. I've been hearing different reports that they have been in prespawn, others that they are already spawning. I've never fished prespawn or spawn, would anyone be able to help me figure out what the bass are doing and some lure/technique recommendations? My trip and conditions: Mon 1/20-Fri 1/24. Rain showers Mon, Thu, Fri, otherwise mostly sunny. Temperature will be increasing throughout the week. West wind Mon, Tue, Wed, east wind Thu, Fri. Moon is waning until the new moon on Fri. Temp. will increase by the day up to 75F. Thank you for your help, and I hope I get to meet a few friends along the way! Henry
  3. Today I was out fishing with a buddy and came across a new spot I have never been to before. It was tough to get to because it was so grown over but it was worth it. It was my first time trying out a new senko Texas rigged while my friend used a jitterbait and a popper. All together we scored three smallmouth bass. Any tips for using plastic worms? I'm relatively new to it. Thanks!

  5. I fished the bluegill colored flick shake wacky style today after a heavy thunderstorm in Va. There was a creek running into a pond on a golf course. Very muddy pulled out a couple of these. I didn't think wacky rig would work after all these hot days. Any other way with success with these worms? I want to use them in every situation I just haven't had success many other ways. If you say flick shake I would like to know when the right time to use this. 3.5 pounds.

  7. Caught this guy off a spinnerbait at a local golf course pond. Thought I'd share the pic.
  8. I was fishing in the small golf course pond I normally do the day before this guy said there is monster cat fish in there but I have never caught one or seen one he said u catch them with worms and shrimp the next day I went to the pond it was raining and I kept seeing splashes around the pond every where and I kept seeing a fin when I got close they were gone I did not see what it was then saw it again I walked up real quiet and I saw it. It was about 2.5 feet long and 10 inches wide I put a worm crank bait and frog in front of it it would not take the bait so I gave up there was at least 4 how do I catch them
