  1. Hello PNW saltwater anglers, I fish the puget sound from a dock near my house. Every summer me and my brothers bottom fish off the dock using 3 way swivel rigs and frozen shrimp. In the summer this setup is a excellent saltwater multispecies rig and catches flounder, sanddab, striped perch, sculpin, dog sharks, greenling, and sculpin, but once winter comes around the bite almost completely shuts down. Recently I have tried using tiny live shrimp and have been catching really tiny fish around the docks. Has anyone else have had this problem? Any ideas about other rigs or bait to try? At this point I just want to catch a flatfish because I have not caught one in months. Thanks for any advice.
  2. I have 200$ to spend. I'm looking for a spinning setup that will be used for saltwater, specifically to catch -flounder -striped bass, sea bass -bluefish -false albacore from shore and kayak. I understand in a perfect world I would have a rod and reel for both kayak and shore, and for the different species, but I only have 200$. Does anyone with experience fishing salt have any good ideas as to what the best overall setup to handle these things might be?
  3. I have a nice little spot that i visit often that has a lot of good sized Flounder. The problem is they are kind of a rare catch since i only use Shrimp as bait. I would like to catch them because they are good eating fish and would help me practice filleting which i just recently learned. So what lures do you guys use for Flounder?
