  1. Hey I'm plan to do alot of fishing out around Springfield Massachusetts and western Massachusetts in general. I usually spend my time looking for trophy size bass in Spencer ma. But out in western Massachusetts as far as I know outside of lake congamond and the quabin there Is not as far as I know a good concentration of big bass. I been to water shops pond, five mile pond and all the rest in between and maybe I'm missing a good lake, pond or river to check out.. would like some advice as to where to go, and some advice on the striper fishing in the Connecticut river at the western Massachusetts section.
  2. I was wondering if anyone knows pretty good bass fishing spots around antioch/brentwood area. i am only 12 so i cant drive and my parents are not willing to take a drive longer than 20 minutes i have been fishing contra loma for 4 years now and always have luck but i want to try something new. (i dont have a kayak so delta spots are kinda hard for me to fish)
  3. Hey I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience Fishing Ray Hubbard especially durring winter time. I have a tournament there February and was wondering if you guys have any tips or spots to try there. Also any tournamnet tips in general would be great because I just got my boat a few months ago and I'm very new to lake fishing and tournament fishing in general. I've been doing decent but would like to improve starting with this upcoming tournament on Ray Hubbard. Any comments are very much appreciated!
  4. Yesterday my friend Facebook me about a pond on Southlake Blvd beside Napa Auto Parts. He said that a guy landed a 10 pound BASS! So I marked the location on Google maps then asked my dad to drive me there, but he was unsure that it was public. The pond was behind some businesses. So you had to park at one of the buildings to access the pond, but they don't really care. So we parked at some real estate place. Once I got there I saw geese poop everywhere...yuck! But that's the only horrible thing about this pond. You can almost walk around the pond. Also, there was some lay-downs to fish and you can skip chatterbaits under trees that hang over the water! To left of that peninsula, the water is very deep..i think it holds catfish I saw some bass eating dragonflies so threw a strike king rage tail toad. The first cast I got a 17 inch bass. 30 minutes with no luck so I changed to a fluke. I cast it out there about 10 times. While I was twitching it back, out of nowhere a bass smashed it about 3 feet away from me. It scared the crap out of me then I started to scream like a girl lol The bass was about 18 inches. Unfortunately, I have only 1 hour to fish :/ So i left. Water Temp: 80 Air Temp: 84 Lure: Rage Tail Toad and Fluke Time of day: Evening -josh

  6. I'm a college student at CofC this year and I'm trying to find some new spots for bass fishing. I don't own a car, but I have a moped to get around. I'm just looking for some easy spots to find bass and even what type of lures or bait to use. Also have no boat so its gonna be straight shore fishing.
  7. I'm more of a bass fisherman but lately I've been more into saltwater fishing and I've been trying to find a really good spot along the Indian River. I live in volusia county so mosquito lagoon is a bit of a drive for me so I am looking for good spots closer to home. I don't have a kayak or a boat so I'm stuck on shore. At the moment my favorite spot is the kennedy memorial park in Edgewater on Riverside dr. So I would like to know about any good spots particularly in Edgewater or New Smyrna.
  8. I live in Eau Claire, WI and im trying to find some fishing spots I don't have a boat or canoe. I have waders but I don't know any creeks or shallow bass spots to use them at. I use a lot of top water frogs so any place with lily pads or a lot of grass or weeds in the water. Im also looking for shallow fishing spot as to were I could walk in the water I would like it to be clear and rocky bottom or if anyone knows of good largemouth ponds near Eau Claire, WI. Please help me out I just want to get some bass fishing in before it gets to cold cause im not much of a ice fishing person. I have already tried half moon lake, elk creek lake, eau Claire dam, and Altoona dam. remember I don't have a boat or canoe but I don't mind walking threw the woods or in the water to get to a fishing spot I just don't noe to many spots around Eau Claire, WI if anyone could give me a lake, pond, river, or a creek with small or largemouth bass near Eau Claire, Wi I don't mind driving 30 to 40 mins to get to any fishing spot. Thank You
  9. This is for those in the illinois, wisconsin, and iowa area, I've had terrible luck lately. Where are you guys finding them. I don't want to know your favorite fishin hole, but are you catching them in the shallows yet or are they still in the depths near you. Are the near the rocks, muck, or last years weedbeds. This is a discussion about where you're finding them, what your catchin them on, and your first good fishing stories of the year.
