  1. I have a 1986 ranger 375v love the boat mostly everything still works! But I can’t remember since I’ve had the boat if I ever tested the kill switch lanyard and today while out on the water I pulled it to test it and the motor did not cut off. What could be the cause and where should I start?
  2. I need help as I am a newbie at this. My dad and I purchased a Lowrance elite 4 chirp unit. We ran the electrical connections to the battery black wire to negative post, red wire connected to the fuse then to the positive battery terminal. The transducer was not hooked up but we wanted to see if the unit was receiving power. I pushed the power button held it 3 secs as instructed and nothing happened. I disconnected the wiring harness from the unit and checked for voltage. There is voltage to the wiring harness. Is there anything I could have missed? We really need help.
