    Hi everyone, Just started fishing at a new lake called Lake Chabot in the Oakland area and was wondering what you guys have had success on in that lake specifically or if you have any tips when fishing a new lake. It is a relatively large lake with deepish water in certain areas. Stocked with trout but has bass and catfish as well. Thanks for the help!

    I am torn between which of the G Loomis Drop shot rods to get. The mag-light, or the mag-medium? I am looking for a more all-around spinning rod, but I also want a rod that will work well for drop shot fishing. Any suggestions?

    I have read a lot about drop shot fishing for bass in and around suspended bait balls, like shad. I am going to try this on Lake Ouachita in Ark. starting in January for the first time. I have seen balls of bait at 20 to 30 feet over total water depth of 75 feet and am wondering what bait would be good and how you would rig the drop shot setup. Any comments and advice would be really helpful

    Hey there, new member here. I've never posted on BR but I've come here looking for information plenty of times. Currently, I'm looking on Tackle Warehouse and all the Shimano reel prices have been dropped along with the introduction of the new Curado 200i reel. Does anyone know if this is a permanent change in prices, or just a sale for Tackle Warehouse? I've looked on the Shimano site, but I didn't find anything. Maybe I missed something. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!
