  1. Hey BR, New video up on skipping jigs under docks, part 2 with an emphasis on mechanics, technique and gear is up. Hope you all like it! Thanks for watching, James N
  2. I need help understanding how to effectively fish a jig (especially around docks)! My favorite way to fish is by fishing docks. Whether that’s skipping a senko or tossing a top water on the sides. I’ve been told that using jigs around docks are extremely deadly but don’t understand the concept. When tossing a jig under dock do you let it sink to the bottom and hop it or can you keep the jig suspended and work in the middle of the water column back to you. How do you guys fish jigs around docks? Thanks ?
  3. Hello all! I'm new here, but have been fishing all of my life. I know the basics of fishing, but never really got into Bass fishing until recently. My husband and I watch YouTube videos, read articles, and talk to friends trying to gain every bit of knowledge we can. We have three young boys who we take fishing and we fish religiously. The problem is that we don't catch much. We catch 2-3 lb. Bass regularly, but nothing much bigger than that. I'm in the military and we have access to the base which has 11 ponds and 6 lakes... we've tried almost all of them. We watch 4-5 lb. Bass swim right at the docks and they will not hit anything we throw in. We only bank fish just because we do not have a boat (it will happen in due time). We use green pumpkin senkos, chatter baits, and jigs mostly. I know this is a LONG read, but we are looking for any advice we can get. My Dad took me fishing growing up and those were the best memories... I want to pass these skills along to our boys. Thank you in advance for any help you may have. God Bless.
  4. Hello I recently got the Abu Garcia veritas 2.0 micro guide matched with a lews 7:1:1 ratio and designated it for bass jigs, so far the rod has worked phenomenally and couldn't be any happier but something every angler knows is that bass jigs extremely effective skipping up under docks well, when I go to skip under the dock the jog hits the water and then almost instantly stops unspooling line and maybe skips a couple inches, anyways I was just wondering if it may be the micro guides or what's going on I do make sure the line isn't tangled up and I go in at a very paraell angle anything helps!
  5. Hey guys, I always see people talk about fishing docks or even skipping lures under them. They never specify, however, where the fish are when they are doing this. Are they holding close (shallow) to the dock, like to be caught with a spinnerbait or rattle trap, or are they on the bottom under the dock, like to be caught with a jig or a T-Rig? So essentially, what lures do you guys use when fishing or skipping docks? Thanks in advance!
