  1. Hi Bass Resource, Here are My Top 4 Most Productive Winter Time Bass Baits for Deep Water. Hope you all like it! Thanks for Watching - James N.
  2. I got these goby colored senkos that will get a ton of smallmouth in the islands and canal but they are usually in water past 10ft deep and since a jig is the best way to weight a wacky worm my question is how heavy of a jig for a wacky worm in the following depth 10ft plus 20ft plus 30ft 40 and the current of the st Lawrence Also what brand jigs
  3. So I’ve gone out once a day (for at least 3 hours) the last 4 days. All the ponds around me are still partially/totally frozen. For the ones that aren’t totally frozen I’ve been throwing jigs to the deepest spots of the pond, or at least the deepest spots I can cast to and I’ve had no luck at all. Not even a bite. It’s honestly really discouraging and I’m about to hang up my hat and wait until it gets warmer out. It sucks getting all bundled up and standing in the cold snow and wind to just get frustrated. What do you guys think, should I just wait until the water warms??
  4. I wanted to make this post to discuss Bull Shoals Lake fishing. I fish all the local tournaments which are mostly at night. The fishing here is completely different than any other lake I've been on. Anybody have any experience on this lake? I can catch 2-5 lbers but getting that 5+ has been a challenge. I know they are out there! Any advice would be great.
  5. Ok so I just stuck a nice largemouth in the head a couple weeks ago offshore on a railroad bed with a Carolina rig... 5 lbs exact my new PB. Just wanted to know what y'all think about summertime fishing, what baits y'all like, what structure and cover to look for on the graph
  6. I'm planning to go out looking for fish in open water for the first time this weekend. I'll be on Lake Eufaula(In Alabama)Saturday-Monday. I have an idea of what to look for as far as structure and cover are concerned. I have a topo map of the lake and I plan to scout out several spots to try this week. My question is what are a couple of techniques my dad and I can start out with. I want to focus on a searching technique and a technique for when we find fish. I don't want to over complicate things, being deep water beginners and all. I'm thinking DD cranks and jig with trailers or maybe lipless cranks and drop shots. Maybe a Carolina rig would be our best bet. I could really use some input from you guys. Thanks in advance. Oh yea I plan to fish in water 30'> and the water is usually pretty stained. About 3-4 feet of visibility.
  7. Hey Guys, Well I just got my brand new 2012 Bass Tracker and i'm really exited to start doing some more serious boat fishing. Ive upgraded from an old valco aluminum boat. I really want to start to expand my skills, i mostly am only successful only fishing shallower water and visible structure. I've never been able to get the hang of fishing deeper water and i struggle with boat control. Im not sure where to start as far as learning to fish for deep fish and reading my electronics as apposed to where to actually cast. I have a foot controlled minn-kota up front, and i'm starting to get better at controlling the boat. I have a really hard time fishing plastics on the boat because i always seem to drift into my line or pull it tight before I have a chance to work the bait on the bottom due to the boat moving around in wind or waves etc... A weightless worm is almost impossible for me to feel when dealing with this. Does anyone have any tips on how I can learn to fish plastics properly when dealing with boat drift? I tend to throw spinnerbaits a-lot as well and have a similar problem, I find that I start to drift and cannot keep the spinner-bait near the bottom. I'm trying to learn to use my electronics as well. I don't have anyone around that i know to learn from so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys!
