  1. Hey, I got a pair of costa 400g green mirror sunglasses for Christmas. I'm wondering if I should return them and dish out the extra 50$ for 580g. But if there's not a really noticeable difference then I would like to keep the 400g's. Thanks for any advice you myt have!
  2. Well I really would like to get some 580g glasses someday. I tried to use the Costa website to see which frames would fit my gigantic head (8” hat) the best. I tried on Blokes at Cabelas becuase I thought they were the biggest, and while they weren’t tight, they looked narrow. Do they make anything wider, specifically outside to outside of the lenses. My normal glasses are 58, 16, 145 size for reference. Thanks.
  3. 50% off on 580G's on 2 styles. Good seller - I have bought multiple pairs. http://www.steepandcheap.com/costa-hamlin-polarized-sunglasses-costa-580-glass-lens?skid=CDM002U-WHIMIRA-ONESIZ&ti=UExQIFJ1bGUgQmFzZWQ6U3VuZ2xhc3NlcyBPbiBTYWxlOjE6MjQ6 http://www.steepandcheap.com/costa-zane-polarized-sunglasses-costa-580p-lens?skid=CDM0148-CRYBROB-ONESIZ&ti=UExQIFJ1bGUgQmFzZWQ6U3VuZ2xhc3NlcyBPbiBTYWxlOjE6MTI6
  4. As the title states, I'm going to finally drop a wad of cash on some glasses now that I finally got my boat a couple weeks ago. Obviously we already know everyone loves Costas, especially the Green Mirror ones, but I'm searching for peoples thought on some of the other companies out there as well. One brand would be Kaenon and the SR91 lenses, has anyone used these and what are your thought? I've seen alot of reviews even where people dropped Costas and started using some of these lenses.Oakley H20 shallows at first were another option, but I've seen mixed reviews on them and I also try to avoid supporting Luxottica as much as possible Smith could possibly be an option, but I honestly haven't done enough research on them. As far as Costas go, I know alot of people are going to recommend them, but what I would like to know is if I'm buying just ONE pair of glasses for now would the silver mirror be a better route to go vs the Green if I want to use them for everything? I see the recommendation for Green is more for sunny sight fishing and the silvers are supposed to be more versatile. I would rather have a pair of glasses that will do everything very well vs a pair that only does 1 thing great, if that makes sense. Any input would help, so many options in the sunglasses market it's a little overwhelming. Thanks
  5. Lets take a minute to talk about sunglasses. I'm looking to upgrade my optics for next season. I have always been one to just use cheap $15-20 polarized glasses from wherever I could find a pair that said "Polarized" on it. This past season, I stepped up a little bit and bought the Strike King S11's, which put me in the $40 range. I could definitely tell a difference between using this glass and a cheap pair from WalMart. Clarity under the water was noticeably better and I was pretty happy with them. However, I feel like there is still room for improvement. Now that this season has basically ended, I'm considering taking the final plunge into high quality optics for next season. What I want to know is will I see an even bigger improvement going from my S11's to something along the lines of Costa, Oakley, or what have you? I have no problem paying $150-200 for a good pair of glasses if I am going to get a big upgrade in my vision and clarity on the water. So my question is for the guys who are using high end glasses, is will I see an improvement? What are some things to look for when choosing a glass? What do you recommend?
