1. I recently bought a fishing kayak and have a trip planned in a few days on a clear water fishery. 10ft+ visibility. Weather is looking like clear skies and low wind. I've only ever been a pond bank fisherman so I have way more confidence in dirty water than I do clear. Big jigs, big spinnerbaits, big creatures baits are my usual, connected to 15-20lb mono leaders. What should I try using in clear water? I have some underspins, small t-rigged craw and worms, smaller spinnerbaits, would those work?
 2. We recently had a new fishing spot open up in our area. The city bought a very old sand pit and is making a really nice park out of it. It is around 40-50 acres. The water is extremely clear. I have been told it is up to 60 feet deep in places. Most of the shoreline seems to either drop off straight down or it has a ankle deep shelf and then drops off. There is a very shallow area on one end, shallow enough for me wade out a pretty good distance. The vast majority is deeper water. I have fished from the bank 3 times and caught 3 total fish. I plan to take the boat and fish it soon. What is my best strategy for fishing this kind of pond/lake - from the bank and boat? I am a longtime bass fisherman but I have never fished anything like this before and it has me befuddled. All three of the fish I caught were on a chartreuse weightless 3" senko. I tried it out of pure curiosity since nothing else was working. All 3 were also caught wading in shallow water. What is the key to the deeper water? By the way, the photo of the plants was taken at a wetland pond behind the sand pit.
 3.
recently while on an excursion to my local lake I was digging through my box of lipless cranks while rigging up in search of the perfect color for that day. The bait that I was trying to imitate was a pumpkinseed sunfish. Now for those of you who have never seen a pumpkinseed, I will tell you that they are the physical embodiment of the firetiger color pattern. Bright green with dark green parr markings and a vivid orange stomach. Now here is where my problem lies. The water I was fishing was so clear you can see a jig sink to the bottom from twenty feet away on a calm and overcast day, and the logical color for a water like that is to get as translucent and as light as possible. But the bait I was trying to imitate is a vivid green. So do I choose colors to imitate the bait like a firetiger? Or do I choose colors for their function like a Clearwater minnow pattern? And in which situations do either color choices take precedence?
