  2. Hello, have any of you heard or bought anything from Fishing Care Package and if you bought it, what did you think of it? Did you buy it from the Flash Sale that they have? Thanks, Martin Sierra
  3. Hey all, I am currently on a budget right now so I’m looking for the best spinning rod and reel combo for $60-80 which is cheap but I also believe even with the price you can still snag a quality combo. I currently am working with Lew’s American Hero Bait caster combo and I’ve caught my number of fish on it. I am looking to expand my rod and reel collection with different types. Mainly looking for a 1 piece, medium action. Any suggestions for your best cheap rod and reel combo!? Feel free to share your experiences!
  4. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/pelican-mustang-100x-kayak-18pelumstng100xkypsk/18pelumstng100xkypsk? I am looking to get a cheap ($350 or less) dollar fishing kayak to leave at a friend's house who lives a couple hundred yards away from a lake in town. I need something that would be easy to carry and big enough for an average height guy. Does anyone have experience with the Pelican Mustang (link above)?
  5. Looking for cheap drop shot hooks any suggestions
  6. I am 15 years old turning 16 next year and I might be able to get a small boat for Christmas or my birthday but am not sure what I can get for around the 600 dollar or less range, anything I shoukd know about this process or more importantly do you know of any small boats that fit that price range Most of the time it would be just me but I would like to be able to take someone with me and I’ll mostly be fishing small lakes.
  7. Hi I'm looking to get a set up for specifically jigs and I need a reel. I don't want to spend a lot. Something around $100 is fine. But I need to find a reel with a fast gear ration. Something in the high 7's and 8:1's
  8. I've been looking at the Kastking Stealth and Shakespeare agility. Is this a good combo, or do you have other suggestions. I'd like the rod to be 5'6" medium heavy though. 6' is fine too.
  9. Hey guys, So I was looking at the Daiwa Tatulas and I realized that the Daiwa tatula CT Type R is very cheap on Amazon. At least 30 dollars cheaper than on Tackle Warehouse. In the picture it looks like the regulas Daiwa Tatula CT, but in the reviews people claim it is the Type R. What do you guys think, check out the link.https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-Tatula-Type-6-3-TATULA-R100H/dp/B00F5EGMA8/ref=sr_1_4?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1481227789&sr=1-4&keywords=daiwa+tatula+ct+type+r
  10. Tungsten in the past 5-10 years has revolutionized bass fishing. Using lead bullet and drop shot weights are a thing of the past for most avid fisherman. Tungsten being two times more dense than lead is a must have in fishing Texas rigs. You can still have the fall rate of any lead weight but at half the size now that is a huge advantage. But the main problem with fishing tungsten is the price! If you go into any of your local sporting good stores buying a couple weights or only one weight can be a whopping 6-10 dollars!! And that is a lot of money; for anyone no matter who you are. But if you still want to get tungsten weights at a cheaper cost here is the link to do so: http://www.omfishingsinkers.com/Tungsten-Sinke/tungsten-worm-weights-green-pumpkin-free-shipping-if-your-order-is-40--or-more-Delivery-time-9-11days_p-80490.html. I have purchased from this site many times and it is 100% reliable. It does come from Asia however so give it a week or two to come in. Enjoy!
  11. I am looking for a cheap rod and i mean like 50 dollars ish. I received a free reel and it is the best reel I've ever owned actually and I want to throw it on a 7ft heavy action bait casting rod, unfortunately I can't afford much ( 50 dollars is a maybe but we will see) so I was wonder if anyone knows any place to get rods cheap. I know it probably will not be good quality but i have to deal with what I can get. Thank you in advance!
  12. Im on a tight budget and im wondering what the most sensitive dropshot rod i can get for under 50
  13. What are your thoughts on Big Bite Baits. I haven't used their products very much but they seem to work pretty well when I use them. What are your thoughts on their products? And does anyone know why they are so cheap?
  14. has anyone had or used the pro cat round reel combo from acadmey? theyre really cheap, 60 bucks, and they sound good for that price but we all know you get what you pay for. it doesnt have a great line capacity, 130 yds of 20 pound mono, but ill be using 50 pound braid and 12 pound mono for backing. they also have pro cat braided line, 8 bucks a spool for 150 yds. i did the math and i can fill the spool with 44 yds of backing and stll have 150 yds of braid, which worls for me because 90% if the time im fishing close to cover and wenching flathead out from log jams. has a 20 pound max drag and baitclicker. sounds good to me, but if yall have anything negative to say id love to hear because i could save the money i would drop on a couple of these combos and buy something better.
  15. Hi guys, this is my first post! I have a nice Shakespear Deceiver 1040 spinning reel and I want to pair it with a rod. I was wondering if anyone knew a good rod that is cheap, (under $50). I need a versatile rod because I want to do a variety of bass fishing and pike fishing with it. I prefer a lighter more bendable rod that doenst feel like overkill for the small/medium sized fish but I need something that can handle the occasional decent sized pike. Does anyone have any recommendation? Also what kind of line do you recommend for bass pike fishing? Thanks alot!
  16. I am a big fan of gary yamamoto's plastic worms creatures etc. Seems like I cost myself an arm and a leg everytime I go to cash out (but i know they are worth the money) Just curious what kind of cheaper plastics (lizards, creatures, worms, etc) work effective for you as a bass fisherman. Trying to explore a little more with different brands this year.
  17. Went in to buy some soft plastics and all the packs of Zoom baits rang up for $0.98/ea. i didn't see a sale tag on any of them, and didnt ask questions at the register. highlight of my day so far.
  18. Looking for the best bass fly fishing combo for a good price and also acceptable quality.
  19. Hey Everyone! Just had a newbie question. I have recently gotten into bass fishing and I absolutely love it. Im ready to ditch my rod and reel from when i was a kid and want to buy a new setup. I wanna get a fairly affordable rod and reel. I have been thinking about the ugly stik lite 6'6" medium rod and the pflueger president 6935 reel. Is this a good combo? Or would you recommend something else? Also would trilene xl 8# mono work well with that setup? Thanks!
