  1. I started fishing in July and I’ve been fishing mostly the neighborhood ponds on the east side of orlando. I got pretty good with a Senko or trick worm, learned the ponds, and generally could catch 2-3 fish an hour (including dinks) with my son. I haven’t been fishing since September due to work but I’ve been a few days in a row now and I can’t catch squat. I tried a few different colors in the 4” length, I even tried a ratt-l-trap and a one-minus which I’ve never had luck with before but why not. I’ve tried a lot of searching online and most tips are related to bass boats I assume as they describe 7+ft of water. Any tips? What am I missing? I’m not even getting a bite. :-/
  2. Anyone in the Orlando area close to UCF know of any lakes that are good for kayak fishing for bass? I know a couple canals but I'm looking to expand my fishing area. Any suggestion would help, Thanks!
  3. Real tough day Saturday on West Lake Toho. My buddy and I were on the lake for about 10 hours starting right before 7a.m. Circled the lake 3 times. Accompanied by about 100+ other boats, everyone seemed to have the same problems. We threw about everything we had and more. Blue bird skies, 65 air temp with 66 degree waters. We managed to get 3 on the boat, the biggest being 3lber. No patterns detected. Saw a lot of beds but no fish on them. Saw a lot of nice size cruisers in different areas but were unable to hook up with any. Hopefully better luck next time!
  4. My work schedule has recently changed and I have a lot more flex time for fishing. Most of my friends have a rigid work schedule so I'm exploring this option to talk to a "potential" fishing buddy. I have boat, etc. I am in Central Florida. More info can be exchanged if anyone is interested. Thanks.
  5. Hey guys I am looking to getting into swimbaits and I want to try some Huddleston baits. I live in Central Florida and I know that many of the Huddleston baits are designed to imitate trout that we do not have here in Florida. Has anyone in Florida had success with Huddleston baits, if so what colors? Also any rigging tips would be great!
