    I am looking for some better quality lakes in the memphis/bartlett area to practice some catch and release bass fishing. I am reasonably new to the area and joined this forum about ten minutes ago. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    My buddy just built a house on a 30+ year old fishing pond in Virginia. Within a year of living there the pond has produced (3) 10+lbs pigs. Problem #1 - The pond is stunted. Other than those 3 massive bass, all fish caught are under 2 pounds or crappie. Problem #2 - The pond can't be harvested. My buddy's Home Owner's Association (HOA) has a catch-and-release policy and members are strongly against changing the policy. Questions - How did you convince folks that killing a few fish is better than all fish starving? Would you please share any articles or expertise we can use to arm my buddy for his next round with the HOA?

    Hello, Recently, I received the "Rapala Mini Hook Remover" as a gift. According to the package, it is great for catch and release fishing; however, I could only find a few reviews of this product online. Have you ever used this device before?     INDIANA STATE RECORD RELEASED RATHER THAN CERTIFIED!! Angler opts to release 16 pound bass unharmed rather than freeze fish to await confirmation of species by biologist. The current record is 14 pounds 6 ounces. Did he do the right thing? I say yes. what about you?

    16.1 pounds. Indiana State Record that could have been.
    27" long x 22" girth 16.1 pounds Caught slow rolling a Mepps XD Silver/Silver in 4 feet of 37 degree water along a shelf edge near deep water.
