  1. I fish the west Boca Raton canals in south Florida and I noticed a bunch of carp and some otters in one of the canals. Will this affect the fishing in this canal? I know there’s largemouth in the canal as well as alligator gar. Any light on this situation would be a big help.
  2. Need a little help from the group. I just bought a house that's blocks from the Glades and a major canal that runs from the Glades easterly towards the shore smack between Coral Springs and Tamarac. Mostly bank fishing or a little pier open for public use. However I'm inexperienced especially in fresh/brackish waters and I'm curious as to what kinds of fish I can expect to find, baits or lures to use? Line to use? Sinkers or floaters? Any specific knot? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm dyeing to learn what'll become my new fishimg spots
  3. I'm on my phone and at work so I'll keep this as short and sweet as possible lol. All my gear is regular bass fishing attire. Corrosion resistant bearings is all I'm bolstering. Nothing too fancy. My question is about the canals. Primarily the Cape Coral canals if any of you are familiar with them. Are they salty? Should I feel uncomfortable using my gear in those canals? And if you use your stuff in salt, how do you clean it off when you're done, and how long has it lasted for you using this method?
  4. Hey guys going this weekend to fish the Cutler drain canal system this Saturday, and me and my friend are launching off the boat ramp behind the falls mall. The water is super clear till about 10 feet, which will push me to sight fish. The only advice i have found is on the FWC sight which says for bass throw worms or sight fish and for peacocks fish with live bait. I've thrown square bill crank baits, rattle traps, and spinner baits and it looks like it scares them away. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?? Thanks in advance thight lines everyone.
  5. Greetings everyone, I'm new to this forum and fairly new to bass fishing. If you all can give me a hand, I'm looking for fishing spots in the Broward County area. I've gone to the Silver Lakes Rotary Park and only been able to catch two small bass there. Also, what color baits do you all suggest for these areas? Thank you,
  6. I have always fished the c-100, c-4, and c-2 canals but lately I decided to try out the everglades for some bigger bass. The only place I know to go is the canal that runs down tamiami trail west of krome.(thats all I have access to bc I don't have a boat) I haven't had any luck yet and was wondering if you knew of any other bank access around this area thats any good.
