    I just got a alderbarren bfs and need some rod recommendations, I like the sierra ultra finesse but can’t remember what ones have the solid tip. I want to stay around 7 foot on length and the weight range will be 1/16-1/4, line2-8lb test and mostly use jig heads and plastics and other finesse presentations. price range is very open, thanks again.

    Latest expedition for 2023. Extreme windy conditions, working several BFS lures on its heavier side, around 4-5g. Few catches, no trophy-worth one. Tested my CQ BFS on field for the first time. Very smooth and super caster. Yet, the side plate is not as tight as in the CQ 51/51S. Very cheap for a pricey reel. Pricey and cheap... A true modern Shimano reel.     Hello guys, this couple weeks I had a fried from Japan visited me and I got new disease from him, Called BFS fishing specially for trout and panfish(ive seen 16lb carp was caught on same set up). so first going to show you this YouTube video, thats the set up I got and waiting to arrive here. once here, I am going to hit the road, trout fishing in streams in morning and bass fishing in night. I am very exited about this and going to update you guys. Please let me know any suggestion you have.

    How much do you know about Bait Finesse System? Do you own a BFS reel for bass fishing? I was wondering why trout fishermen don’t use BFS reels since it’s difficult to start fly fishing. Lol

    Today I got to little pond near home practicing casting distance with my favorite BFS combo, they had stocked trout there last week and I was hoping I might catch some trout as well. I was using 1/32oz (trout magnet jighead with 1.5" paddle tail), I catch a fish and it was a large mouth, Since it was trout season I really didn't try bass fishing except using 10" plus swim baits and glide baits, But this time I catch my first bass of the year.

    I'm looking to build a aggressive jig set up , weight is an issue and I want to be able to fish it all day .... The two last choice are metanium xg and the bfs xg ... But I was concerned as I'm almost exclusively going to pitch and punch jigs and plastics from 1/8jigs or Texas rigs to 1 1/2oz punching . Would the bfs be capable ? I really love the real but honestly never intend to use it for its truest purpose .. Any opinions ?
