  1. Hello everyone, I need help with keeping my buzzbaits on top of the water.. I’m throwing a 1/2oz buzz on a 7’1 heavy with40lbs braid & a 7.3.1 reel. I switch hands mid cast so I can start my retrieval as soon as the lure hits the water sometimes even a little bit before it hits. I’ve tried to speed up my retrieval & keep my rod tip high to no luck.. The buzzbait will stay about a foot under the surface until it’s maybe 5 ft from the bank that’s when it wants to surface & act like a buzzbait should act. Any help is greatly appreciated & I thank you all in advance. Tight lines everyone!!

  13. I have been going to a pond near my house after work around 6:30pm (sunset is at 8:07pm). I live in Olive branch Mississippi. The temperature is in the high 80s to mid 90s. The water is a stained green with maybe a foot of transparency (Maybe less) but it doesn't seem muddy. I do not have a boat so I am forced to bank fish. I measured as far out as I could and the water seemed to be about 3 1/2 feet deep. I'm almost positive it gets a lot deeper in the middle. I've caught one fish (maybe a 1lb pound bass) on a Texas rigged senko worm (Black and blue specs). That never worked again. Since, I've tried jigs (Black and blue, dark green/junebug/watermelon mix), chatterbait, rage blades (neon chartreuse) - all rigged with either craw or chunk trailers, crank baits, lipless crank baits, and swim baits (bright chartreuse). I'm new to the forum and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I figure the fish are out in the middle in the deepest water but I've also seen huge fish near the bank with my own eyes. Also every time I see a fish in the middle, it's a blow up in the middle. So if they are supposed to be deep during the heat, why are they striking at the top? I'm sure someone can clear this up. It's a loaded question and if it's not how you are supposed to do it, forgive me. Thank you for you help in advance.

  16. Can someone tell me if this reel (http://m.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Abu-Garcia-Revo-STX-Spinning-Reel-REVO2STX10&i=912087) would be a good pair for this rod (http://m.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=St-Croix-Legend-Tournament-Bass-Casting-Rod-610-Medium-Light&i=451547) I really don't have time to check. Anything would be great. Also I'd appreciate any alternate suggestions.
  17. Whats up everybody, I just wanted to get a ball rolling on a topic that is relevant at this time. So lets help everybody out and talk a little on what we like to throw in the fall. I will start of with one of my favorite fishing techniques in the fall months. My favorite technique for the fall is throwing a strike king KVD Swim N Shiner. I throw it on a 1/4 oz weighted hook with 50lb power-pro braid. I use this rig basically anywhere during the fall months but throwing it around grass or cover with baitfish present can be a great way to make some side money during the fall.
  18. hello, just wondering if there are any fellow Missoula area bass fishermen out there!

  22. For a long time, I've been keeping most of soft plastic bags in my Plano tackle bag, which has a clear compartment underneath the main flap. It holds about 20 bags of plastics. However, I'm getting more soft plastics than the bag can hold. I'm looking into get the lews boat bag and putting my bags in a couple of big Plano utility boxs and storing the boxs in the boat bag. Just curious on what size utility box you all use or how you store your plastics. Thanks guys!
  23. Hey Guys, I have an all electric 16' fiber glass jon boat that i bought used a little over 6 months ago. (The reservoirs i fish at are electric only) Its been a long journey getting it water ready but, it finally floats. I'm looking into getting it wired properly (I have minimal experience). I'd love to hear your advice on which products to buy as well as, installation how to's. an affordable led lighting system, for those early mornings. A switch panel to cut on and off my led's, my bilge pump, and if possible; cut on and off my 2 transom mounted 55# electric motors. I wont need to adjust the speed on them, i only use them for "speed". Alright, Whatcha got for me?
  24. Whats up guys! I am looking at this 2002 ProCraft 190 Super Pro.. I just wanted to know what the Original Price it was back in 2002. The guy is asking for $9,200, is this a good deal? It comes tournament ready and we test drove it and it ran perfectly. It also has about $750 in sonars. The boat barley looks used but the carpets are a little dirty. Nothing a good carpet cleaner could wash. Please let me know if im getting a good deal.
  25. Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on fishing for pond bass with swimbaits. I was wondering like what color swimbait to use and what size. Also what type of swimbait to use, like hollow body, soft plastic, or a hard body. The pond I fish (Sunset Park Pond) is 14 acres and has a maximum depth 12 feet. The water is stained to muddy right now. The pond is located in Las Vegas and we have had a warm couple of weeks so the bass are starting to move up and spawn. The main forage is bluegill but there are also tons of small carp and sunfish. Any info. would help, Thanks.
