  1. Hey guys, I've fished on and off since I was young but have recently gotten into it more with quarantine. I started from the shore and then actually got a kayak that was on sale and have been making modifications to it to make it more fit for fishing. I've caught a perch and a pickerel from the shore and caught a pretty decent (maybe a little over 1lb) largemouth my first day out in my kayak. It was a really crappy cold day with some rain but I wanted to get out there. I was trying a few different set ups and ultimately caught the bass with a drop shot rigged worm. It was right around the base of a dead tree stump. This was two weeks ago. I've gone out probably 10 times since then, around half from shore and half from the kayak and have gotten zero bites. I've tried texas rigs, carolina rigs, drop shots, crank baits, chatter baits and nothing seems to work. I live in central mass and have tried the same pond I caught the bass in the same, similar, and different areas as well as different water bodies. I know fishing can be on and off but after two weeks I'm starting to get really frustrated. Any tips?
  2. Hey BR, Just uploaded a new video on fishing for spawning or bedding bass that you can’t see. Hope you like it! Thanks, JN
  3. I am looking to get back into competitive fishing as a co-angler. I do have a boat but I am more interested in learning some new tips and tricks than winning tournaments and going pro. My day job is my other passion so I'll stick with it. I have been hitting the lakes pretty much every week for about 6 months now. Once I figure out the lake, I try new ones to see how long it takes me to figure it out. I noticed I focus on the same style fishing on every lake, which has been productive. However, I want to expand my skill set. This pushed me to start hiring guides to take me artificial fishing. On my latest trip I hired Chuck Pippin out of Orlando, Florida. We were fluke and spinnerbait fishing and we had a decent day. I've never fished a fluke before so it was nice to learn something.A couple of days ago he released this video: So this video has me thinking, maybe I am missing out on a world or opportunity. Maybe those big bass are interested in more than what I typically throw. My question is what are the go-to lures you like to throw? What type of situations do you typically choose that lure?
  4. hello there!, Am Marius and a newbie in the bass fishing scene here in the Philippines, been fishing for more than 10 years but its just a "bait and wait" type since i don't have any funds to pursue a more specific fishing; like bass fishing... now that i have saved a bit and little free time on my hands; i am now able to join local tournaments here in Caliraya lake and Lumot lake... hope somebody can help me catch bass consistently, i'm so confused, even after reading a lot of articles on the subject matter. as of the moment i have 6.6" bc rod medium action and a 7" mh bc rod and a few of the following .. crank baits, spinner, jerk baits, 6" worms in green and red color. A 4" lizard. 1 popper and assortment of hooks which i tried... so far i only managed to get snakehead by using the lizard which i let swim... but for bass no bite at all... please help... sincerely Marius
