  1. Today I was fishing and I did Texas rig craw style zoom just to practice and tune my new Antares DC, So I grab that just randomly. I cast about 1 hour and I didn’t get any bite. I always use soft swim bait there and most of the times, so I change to 6” swim bait and 3rd cast I catch fish. I was thinking that I was more successful with fish/bait fish imitators more than craw style. I can say the only time of year I have luck with them is in summer, but any other time of year I didn’t have a chance with them. I’ll set worms aside which they work year round. do you agree with me? If not please let me know about your own experience.
  2. Hello, As we begin to enter the fall months, I know bass fishing can be hit or miss depending on where you're fishing in your lake and where the bait fish are located in your lake. I live in New York and right now the temperatures are finally starting to drop which generally means that the bait fish will move shallow into the backs of creeks over the next couple weeks and the bass will follow. The lake I have been fishing is about 70 feet deep but very small around. This lake also doesn't have any creeks that run into it which leads me to believe that perhaps it is spring fed from beneath the lake. Unfortunately, I've tried searching for videos, articles, or forum threads that pertain to my question without any luck. My question is, since I do not have any creeks that feed into this lake, will the bait fish still go shallow towards the shore now that the fall season is beginning? Where should I be fishing, should I go deep or cast along drop offs? Should I try going shallow along the banks or near fallen structure? I've seen some huge schools of small bait fish in shallow water a couple weeks ago but that was only once. Knowing where these bait fish are located and where they will go as the water continues to cool down will help me out tremendously. Thank you for your time! Sincerely, Chris
