I've been following along with A-Jays ongoing thread on working to stay lean for quite a while now. In a past post, I told about my pre type 2 diabetes diagnosis six months ago. My weight has never been a huge problem for me. I'm 6'1 and was at 190. Over time, my weight went up to 235. Of course the weight was in the wrong places. When I weighed myself this morning I weighed 206. Basically, I cut back on all sugars and sweets, and also my portion sizes. I've realized I can eat far less, and still feel full, because of my shrinking stomach. My target goal is 190, and, I'm sure I can get there. My A1C level came in at 6.1, which is very good. I don't have a weight room to exercise like A-Jay. But I'm doing regular sit ups and leg lifts to tighten up my gut. Also, walking more, which, my favourite type of walking is walking around the lake and bank fishing. It's good exercise. It's a weird thing when you lose weight. The weight comes off your whole body, as well as your stomach. An example, my wedding ring now slides on and off my finger easily. It didn't do this before. I feel much lighter on my feet, and, I feel I'm moving a little quicker now. If you need to lose weight, this plan may work for you. And, lastly, I'd like to thank A-Jay for his thread. It's inspiring, and has helped me reach my goals. If I can do it, anyone can.
