We hit the river for a few hours today, panfishing. Got between 40 - 60 crappie, yellow & white perch and bluegill. Of particular note is the size of this particular gill:

Like I said in the lead in, you just never know on a river system. I love it!
Hit the Ct. River yesterday for a few hours of crappie fishing. Ended up with maybe 2 dozen fish each (2 fishermen) of various species. One of them was this fine brute (on 4# test rig no less):
And of course, some of our target species as well:
Biggest producer for the day was a chart/black/chart roadrunner, a custom tie by a member of another forum. Lots of fun and action on a splendid fall day. Hope some of you are able to get and enjoy it soon. Predicting SNOW for Saturday!
