  1. I plan on fishing the Hillsborough next week after Christmas. I've lived here my whole life and have never fished it. I wanna catch largemouth but kinda unfamiliar with the thing. Anybody ever go out there and fish it? What ramp would you suggest, I gotta 21' flats boat and should I go north or south? Is there anything I should be alert out there for? Will the water level be okay? Lastly, what works well out there? Thanks
  2. Hello Everyone, Ive been looking for this forum and searching for some decent fishing spots on Hillsborough River i can hit from shore. I dont have a boat and completely new to the area. I've been to Riverhills Park and tried fishing past the boardwalk but it was fairly crowded and not much area to cast in, and the area on the other side of the ramp has a ton of vegetation ( maybe a recomendation on lures for dealing with them?) I saw Lettuce Lake has some boat rentals for 25$ but mostly i hear from you guys to stay near 40th/56th st d**n and thats just not doable from there but maybe the fishing is ok that far north? If not Hillsborough river maybe you guys can share some other local fishing spots that would not require a boat? Thanks in advance for your help.
  3. I just started bass fishing in Tampa, FL. Anyone ever fished there? If so what are the best ponds and lakes in the area. Thanks.
  4. Hello all, I am going down to Tampa, FL, to visit family from 3/10-3/16. I would like to do some fishing while there, but I'm not sure what I'll have for transportation and I don't think I'll be able to bring any rods. If anyone is willing to take me out for some hawg largemouths, I would be willing to pay for the gas and baits for the day, or I can exchange a trip on my homewaters, Lake Ontario for some football smallmouths (See attached picture ), I can also tutor math and science if that is at all valuable to you, will work for bass! I'm also willing to hire a guide if anyone has reccomendations. What say you, Floridians? Rich
