    okay so i was given a $100 bass pro gift card for valentines, so now i'm looking into things i could be getting or at least cutting the cost of down. i have been looking into the shimano cardiff. having never owned a round reel i am a little hesitant, i went in a held one but im still not sure i would love it. are there any other reels from bass pro you guys recommend for fishing swimbaits i was looking for either a 5:1 or a 7:1 ratio i was hoping to keep it under 150. I was also potentially looking at upgrading my jig rod are there any recommendations for that as well?

    I just ordered a dobsyn swimbait Rod to throw large swimbaits. I was going to throw a tranx 300 on it but when I went to tackle shop they had a deal on the discontinued curado 300 e. Anyone use the curado for a swimbait reel?

    Hello. I am looking into starting to throw smaller swimbaits around the 1 - 2oz range, the Daddy Mac Viper Sunfish (1.3oz) and Sebile Magic Swimmer (1.5oz) are two examples. My problem is I got a Kastking Royale Legend baitcaster, but I don't think it can hold up to these baits in the 2oz range. Anyone have a recommendation for someone who knows very little about swimbait reels? Any suggestions are very much appreciated. - Davis M

    I am looking to put together a finesse swimbait setup. I have looked around for different reels and came across the Orra Winch. It is a Low Profile reel (which i would prefer for this setup) with a deep spool. I will be throwing swimbaits (6" BBZ, 6" Hudds, 6" Mattlures Tournament Trout, Black Dog G2 Shellcracker, etc.) around 2oz or less with it. Have any of you used this reel for this purpose? If you have how did the lower ratio gearing work for swimbaiting? Or could you guys suggest another low profile reel for these lighter swimbaits?
