  1. This post is a result of my indecision that lead to stressful overthinking. When I ask the following question, consider these factors: I fish one of the shallow finger lakes with lots of vegetation mainly eurasian milfoil, the best places to flip are in the milfoil and under boat docks, the water is ultra clear in the morning and throughout the day progressively gets greener (a light stain caused by gloeotrichia rising from bottom), flipping baits that I’ve used and had moderate success with: D-Bomb, Baby D-Bomb, Pit Boss, Bronco Bug, Sweet Beaver. I like one that has little to no action and glides like a traditional beaver, as well as one that has some more action to it but has less action than a craw style bait. The question: not including craws and tubes; if you could only choose 2 different beaver style baits each in 3 different colors to cover all the conditions listed above, what would you choose? And why?
  2. 28 degrees tomorrow morning with water temps around 42... 5000 acre lake with d**n on both ends lots of water plus 50ft deep. Lots of shad schooling, lots of timber and rocks on the shoreline. Plan on throwing A rig with white shad, A rig with blue black glitter and white, and lastly for the A rigs exact copy of a shad black top white bottom. I'm also planning to throw shad jerk bait 5" long with red tail, and shad colored pointer 100. C If if you guys were here fishing what area would you hit. I know points and windward side of the lake, but would you spend time finding shad pools and chase them all day or hit the points and structure? Should I spend a lot of time fishing docks and timber laying from shore into the water? the wheels are on at dams should I hit these areas? any help would be great. Ideas?
  3. Okay I know a lot of people shy away from using jerkbaits in stained-muddy water, but if you do what's your favorite color and brand to throw? Thanks.
  4. I bought some Gambler Ugly Otters the other day at BPS in junebug color. My pond is an 8 acre cypress pond. It is stained but still a little clear. How do I fish these? Where do I throw them and how do I work them? How do I rig them? Thanks.
  5. Has anyone tried fishing a drop shot in water that is stained to murky water with any success? Visibility of less than a foot. I would suspect that bulkier baits, dark water colors (black, junebug, etc.) would work but thought I would get feedback from the group. Thanks
