  1. I’ve read threads on this topic before, but they are out dated and I’ve come to terms with the fact that golf courses may or may not have gotten more strict Since said threads were posted; either that or I’m doing something wrong. How do I get to fish a golf course hazard legally? Everything I’ve read says to simply ask a receptionist or greenskeeper and “you may be surprised with the answer”. I’ve tried three different courses, two of them being public courses, the other one I didn’t realize was a membership type deal till I asked a guy in the pro shop. no luck One big problem here is idk much, like just about nothing, about golf, so idk how or where to talk to a greenskeeper or a receptionist. I’m a sociable person and I’m always polite. But I’m not sure what to do. I’m trying to do this in Boca Raton Florida. Not sure if that’s the first problem. All input is greatly appreciated. Also my first post here. So hello!
  2. Hey everyone! I have been fascinated by bass fishing for most of my life but always I hesitated and felt overwhelmed by it all. I finally took the plunge and subscribed to many beginner bass YouTube channels and put together a decent 150$-200$ or so set of lures, lines, tackle, baits, and 2 rod & spinning reels to start off with. I have lived in Broward County Florida for 5 years now and have prepped to go on my first LMB all day fishing trip at Markham tomorrow and Sunday, maybe even hop around the 75N canals and even Holiday if I have time over the weekend. I have a 6'6 Medium Ugly Stick and another older Medium 6'6 rod that was my grandpa's - the Ugly Stick has 15# flouro leader to 12# mono and my grandpa's is 8# mono to a 15# flouro leader. (I am saving up to get a 7'0 medium heavy ASAP). I'm starting with a 3/8oz Colorado style spinnerbait first but I included a screen shot of my list of stuff I have and am bringing with me. I have a willow spinnerbait, swim jigs and trailers, hollow body craws, green pumpkin and black senkos 5" etc. (I have everything on the list aside from the top water bait, the buzz bait, ribbon tail worm and chatter bait). I practiced uni/double uni knots, the palomor knot, and the improved clinch knot. I would be so grateful to hear some good tips , advice, local spots and anything else you guys can offer a total newbie like me before my first weekend. Also if theres any beginner clubs or meets willing to guide a 29 yr bass beginner like me that would be great too! - Nick
  3. Over the last three years, I have noticed the wildlife diminishing in and on our small lake here in Sunrise. And I noticed the Snakehead fish population has increased. We normally have many families of water birds raise their families on the water, but not last year and none so far this year. Normally the mullets are jumping out of the water, and you can see the assorted bass and other small species through the clear fresh water. Now I only see snakehead fish. I believe they have eaten the fish and eat the baby widelife....ducklings, soft shell turtles, young iguanas, and anything that may fall in the water. When Irma left, the water level rose by 8 feet on to the grass. The Snakehead came upto the edge eating the insects in the fresh grass. The weird thing was as we looked at them, they stared at us, making eye contact, and followed our movement. As the water resided, they wriggled around the edges. Unfortunately, we do not have enough people fishing our lake. Anybody interested in fishing snakehead? Signed, Missing the wildlife
  4. Any good canals in West Palm Beach area with shoreline fishing access? I had a great place on the south west corner of the Turnpike and Lake Worth Rd, but it’s been replaced with new development. My access is gone now, like a few other areas I knew about. Wish Palm Beach would make canals of certain sizes or larger with public access on the easement and service roads. Make mini parks or walking and biking trails out of them. Developers put up privacy walls along these areas but then gates and/or no trespassing signs goes up along the canals. A lot of places in Ft Lauderdale, sunrise, Davie, etc, all make parks out of them. Wish Palm Beach would also. So much water in S Florida with so very little access to any of it. You would have to row for Many miles if you try to get to some of these areas by kayak. Several other areas you could pull off the road and fish or walk it. But as traffic has increased, guard rails goes up followed by no parking signs.
  5. Hey Guys, Just curious if anyone's been out and successful targeting any bass since the storm. Thinking about heading to Loxahatchee this weekend or possible next but just curious what you guys have been seeing or finding. I'm guessing it's a royal mess and will be for several months but just thought I'd check. Thanks all and hope everyone is doing well and safe.
  6. Been trolling around the forum for a while not and figured I'd ask a few local guys if they know anything about lake Wellington. Seen it on google earth and was going to fish it. But had some questions first and was wondering if anyone had been out there and knows the situation with the boat ramp. I'd hate to come back and my car/trailer is gone or get a ticket of something. Any info on it would be much apperciated.
  7. Hi guys ! Newbe here, just looking for some rainy day fishing advice. As it is raining here in south Florida. Lake is clear with no trees, lily pads or cover. Basically man made. It gets very deep in middle 70 ft. Thanks
  8. Greetings everyone, I'm new to this forum and fairly new to bass fishing. If you all can give me a hand, I'm looking for fishing spots in the Broward County area. I've gone to the Silver Lakes Rotary Park and only been able to catch two small bass there. Also, what color baits do you all suggest for these areas? Thank you,
  9. I am planning to go to a Marlins or Dolphins game down in Miami since i have never been there. Of course, i might as well bring my rod along considering there are exotic fish like peacock bass, snakehead, tilapia, etc that i don't have acess to where i am. So i am wondering where are some good spots for these species and how can i catch them?
  10. This past weekend found a few LM's surprisingly were of better size, with only a few dinks. Also hit up a peacock spot (really wasn't expecting much due to the cold weather) and found a couple decent ones. the largies were caught on a smaller sized spinner bait being pulled over some shallow grass and the peacocks on a gold rapala husky jerk over deeper grass beds.the bite seems slow but steady in the Margate area! Thanks, Thomas

  13. Hello everyone my name is Grant and I've been fishin for most of my life, I'm 17 and thought it would be a great idea to sign up to bass resource. I mainly fish on my buddy's lake cuz hes got a sun tracker 'toon that we take out. The bass on the lake rarely get bigger than 4 lbs. (5 is my record :/) but they hit hard and fight even harder! I hope I'm doin this forum thing right, it's my first time. Cheers.
  14. My friend and I are really interested in catching some Peacocks. Our friends catch big'uns in their ponds and lakes but don't want to share their spots. Please any help is appreciated. We don't know what we're doing.
  15. Okay guys, I was fishing tonight in one of the canals here around the fountainbleau,Doral area and I catch one on this. I don't know what kind of fish it was and the picture is pretty bad because i couldn't take a better picture before the line snap. I didn't want to grab it by the mouth because i didn't know what kind of fish it was. It took with him $8 rapala back to the water ( d**n it). Do you guys know what kind of fish is this? That's for the help
