    I recently had some skirts go bad on my spinners and happen to have an abundance of embroidery thread in every color, could I tie this onto the jig head and make it like a skirt?

    I want to start hand tying jigs, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits but I am not sure what lb braid to use to do so. Most of the jigs are about 1/4 oz - 3/4 oz, buzzbaits and spinnerbaits around 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz, but the most common weight for all being 3/8 oz.

    Have some older spinnerbaits where the rubber bands holding the skirts on aren't going to work much longer and need replacement. Anyone know where I can get rubber bands that size or a quick replacement device like on the Terminator baits?

    I've been fishing Dirty Jigs for about two years now, but during tournaments I always end up throwing around this old no name PB&J colored jig that I had. Ended up losing it a few weeks back, so I decided to try my hand at making my own skirt color combinations. Placed an order at fishingskirts.com which arrived lightning quick. Anyways here are a couple combinations I tried out this evening - fairly happy with the results. Haven't hit the right PB&J mixture yet, but I think the first two will be pretty serviceable at any rate.

    Has anyone have any trouble with skirt staying on the Booyah Swim Jig. I got the one in bluegill (really more of a brown/black). The skirt attempts to come off every other casts. If I was getting strikes I would understand but I'm not. The only way it stays on is if I have a trailer on. Which isn't right. I should be able to use it without a trailer to give it a smaller profile. Right? Here's a pic of it I got from lurenet.com:
