  1. I have had a Shimano Scorpion 1000 XT for about 2 years. Today I was doing some routine maintenance and took off the side plate. When I went to put it back on, the 1/8th turn release switch didnt seem to turn completely back to closed. I tried to correct this problem, however I could never get the switch to completly turn. The good news is that the side plate seems to be on tight and is flush with the frame even without fully being able the switch back to closed. On the other hand, when I am not trying to re-attach the side plate, I am able to fully turn the release switch all the way back to close. I can do this as long as the side plate is not against the frame of the reel. Other than this issue the reel seems to be working fine, and my only concerns are that this is somthing that could get worse, or effect the perfomrance of the reel. Has anyone else noticed this with their Shimano reels? Is this anything to worry about? And is there a fix? Thanks, -Jack
