  1. Hey guys. I am from Ohio and we go on vacation near Pawley's Island each year. I will be there with my 15 year old the last week of July. I read tonight that the Santee Cooper Lakes, Marion and Moultrie are supposed to be great. Here is the kicker, I only have a 14' Tracker with a 9.9hp motor. Do any of you have advice for places to fish that would make sense to bring the boat and fish a couple days? We have tried to fish from the shore for reds on the intercoastal without much luck. Considering pulling the boat down. Thanks in advance!
  2. What lakes/rivers hold smallmouth in SC? I've heard that you can catch them at jocassee, and monticello is there anywhere else?
  3. I'm going on a family vacation next week to Myrtle Beach (Technically Surfside Beach). Does anyone know any good places to fish from the bank around there? I'm staying near Ocean Lakes in anyone knows where that is. Also whats a good color soft plastic for the area? Thanks
  4. What's up everyone! I'm in Irmo,SC and primarily fish Lake Murray for largemouth. If anyone has room let me know. I don't have a boat right now. Good luck to everyone ripping lips!
  5. Hey gang, I'm fairly new with bass fishing, but Ive officially caught the bug. I havent been bassing on a boat yet, but Ive been doing alot of local pond hopping. I'm in the midst of trying to find some local lakes that offer boat rentals so I can get on the water. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, that would save me a giant headache
  6. I'm a college student at CofC this year and I'm trying to find some new spots for bass fishing. I don't own a car, but I have a moped to get around. I'm just looking for some easy spots to find bass and even what type of lures or bait to use. Also have no boat so its gonna be straight shore fishing.
  7. ...Camden? Have you ever fished Lake Shamokin? The pond that looks so dang "bassy" on Hwy 521 north of Camden at the Shrine Club. The lady running the bait & tackle shop (and produce stand) just over that little causeway told me you can put a kayak or jon boat in at the road, but not the shrine club-that's private land. I was curious if anyone had. I'm dying to try it. There are no signs there forbidding fishing or any kind of posted signs.
  8. What's working for you on Lake Murray in SC in the pre-spawn?
  9. Hey guys, I'm helping out with a little bass tourney at Camp Croft state park on March 30th. It's a benefit tourney and all proceeds go back to the March of Dimes. For those of you who dont know about Camp Croft, it's a trolling motor only lake. They'll be selling hotdogs and hamburgers as well as raffeling off some cool fishing stuff after the tournament. It's $20/boat, registration is at 7:30 and take-off is at 8. If you dont have a boat, there are john boats there that you can rent for $10 but you will need to bring a trolling motor and battery. Last year we had 15 or so teams and I think that was a pretty good number for the lake. If you're interested, shoot me a text at 864-426-7237. If you're certain that you want to come, I can put you and your team member down incase we reach our maximum number of boats. Thanks guys!
