  1. Hey everyone, It's probably been about 8-10 years since I last posted on here, it's good to see these forums still around! I'm looking at potentially servicing reels and with that, I am looking for a reputable source to purchase quality bearings from (b2b). If you have any feedback or reviews on certain branded bearings I would also like to hear those! Thank you in advanced!
  2. I found an old shimano front drag spinning reel in my grandpas stuff years ago , I just did a tune up and it is having a problem with the drag , the bale only turns on way ( unless you turn the switch) so there is only one way for line to be wound onto the spool . If I pull drag it works fine but doesn’t click , it will only click if I turn the spool in the opposite direction . What could be going on with this reel ? Thank you all in advance !
  3. I have an Offshore Angler GC50B that needs repair, does anyone have the schematics for this reel. The reel was made by Outdoor World for BassPro Shops. Any suggestions?
  4. I have two alphas ITO's the the side cover is now toast. I use the left handed version and the numbers I have are from a JDM model and I don't know if daiwa USA will provide parts?
  5. One year ago I bought a Pflueger Trion Spincast reel and I absolutely loved it. I recommended it to my friends and they all bought some too. I had never had an issue with it and I do take care of my fishing gear and keep them clean. Okay, so last week I was on the boat fishing and I went to cast and as soon as I pressed the thumb button the line just fell to the water. It's not supposed to release the line until I take my thumb off of the button but it will not hold the line in place to cast. So I reeled in and tried and tried again but as soon as I clicked the thumb button the line would just release and not allow me to actually cast. Instead of holding down the thumb button and then releasing it with my cast it just drops the line and doesn't hold it in place. So I took the cone off of the reel and took all the old line off and cleaned it out and then re-spooled it and it still will not cast correctly. I have compared it to my other reels and it all looks normal inside the reel. I do not understand what is wrong. Is there some sort of spring that could be broken? I really like this reel and I want to fix it if possible. Has anyone ever had this issue?
  6. I've got 4 abu Garcia open baitcasters in need of a tune up... not sure of the reel specs but I think two are 4600 (probably from the 1970s and the other two are high end rells probably about 20 - 30 years old. I'd like to get them working properly and fish with 'em. Any ideas? Thanks.
  7. Does anyone know where I can get a couple reels repaired/tuned up near Gastonia, North Carolina?
