  1. Its that time of year where we begin to come out of summer and the fall is getting closer. In this video I share some baits and ideas that work well for me during this transitional period. Hope you like it and good fishing!
  2. Hey BR, Attached is video of my “simple” or short list of top performing swim jig trailers for all seasons and imitating all prey items. Thanks JN

  4. I've been doing very well lately at my local pond on lipless cranks, specifically the 1/4oz Strike King RES. Bought a pack of Rage Tail Swimmers from the tackle shop a week or so ago to try to change it up because the fish are seeing tons of crankbait right now. I have it rigged on a 3/16oz belly weighted swimbait twist lock hook. Also have some in 1/4oz to try. Just wondering how you guys like to set these up and what techniques are best to try. I'm throwing both the swimbait and the RES on a 7' M-F with a 6.3:1 Tatula spooled up with 30# Power Pro right now.
  5. Picked up a Beach Umbrella and placed it on the front pedestal... It's terrific until the Wind gets up
  6. YES just for our friends here at BassResource!!! You are the FIRST to see this new Rage Tail product, The New MAGNUM Rage Tail Bug by Strike King Lure Company (y) Hitting store shelves in mid July 2016!!! Bout TIME, Huh
  7. No way I should've got this one out. Flipped a Rage Smokin' Rooster to a tree in 8 ft and lost my concentration while looking for my next flip, then I felt her moving. At the hook set, she was already tangled in the roots so I just kept the Pressure on her until she made the wrong move and headed straight up at me... She crashed the surface snapping a few limbs then made a few hard runs before I grabbed her. Yep I'm LUCKY
  8. Most of the nice one's have moved off shore... I kinda like that too, they're putting on the Feed Bag. Dragging a new jig trailed by the Rage Lobster, Blue Craw color with JJ's Chartreuse tipped claws, deadly combination in clear conditions, South Texas is on fire and hope your waters are too!
  9. This was the first year that I was able to nail some fish before they started to do their business.. My first day of bassin' action came on a 70 degree day where I was slowly working a Catchem Caro Uncle Many Minnow which got me six fish 2 of which were above 3 pounds and I got to lay my eyes on a BEAST that ended up spitting it right under the canoe. The action was slow and steady for 2 hours then I struggled to get back on them. Today was my other real notable day, one fish but a 5.66 pounder on 1/4 oz SK swim jig with a Rage craw on the back. She slammed it and the hook was buried in the top of the mouth.. Here are some photos trying to keep after 'em!
  10. Here's a short clip on the NEW Rage Tail Swimmer that I promised during our BassResource Dinner at the Classic... Be sure and let me know if you have any questions! They should be hitting some store shelves, online etc. here pretty soon. Hopefully Siebert Outdoors will receive one of the first orders too... I'm trying to get his orders moved up the list, we'll see The differences to other swimmers out there: *More And Faster action at slower retrieve speeds. *More body action as well & RT body keeps moving at faster speeds where others only has tail action at faster speed. *We have 6 per pack on 4.75's they have 5. We have 7 3.75s where they have 6. *Our bodies have hybrid rage bug/rodent ribs where others have straight ribs. Hope you like'em!!! https://youtu.be/XC_un6to74U
  11. Does anyone know why the rage tail line has gone up in price? Only a few baits like the structure bug and lizard were $5.49, but now almost all the Rage tail line is going to that price.
  12. I am finally the guy who found an amazing deal. Tonight I went by the Academy in Lubbock, TX just to kill some time. I stumbled across some Rage Tail Anaconda's in June Bug for only 99 cents. ONLY 99 CENTS!!! Naturally, I bought all 5 packages. I don't know if any other stores are clearing them out, but it may be worth it for some of you guys to go check it out. Hopefully this helps someone out. ONLY 99 CENTS!!!
  13. Went out yesterday morning throwing a 3/8 Green Pumpkin Strike King Jig with a SK Rage Tail Craw as a trailer. Caught a nice 2 lber on the first cast but was only able to manage one more fish after that. The fish turned off as soon as the sun came up with blue bird skies. Only issue I had was that the Rage Tail Craw continued to lose the pinchers. This is the first time I've used them. I love the action and water displacement that they give but they don't seem to be very durable. Anyone else have this same experience with them?
  14. Past three fishing trips I came away with these beauties.... All caught on texas rigged rage craws, THANK YOU RAGE TAIL!!!! (They were caught in New Hampshire not New Hapshire lol) 4lbs 7oz 3lbs 0oz 2lbs 10 oz
  15. Me and my bud went out tonight for two hours and boy oh boy it was the best 2 hours of fishing of my life! The biggest four we landed were a 6lbs 5oz (my PB) 4lbs 14oz 4lbs 12oz and a 2lbs 9oz... Thanks Rage Tail!!!!! Rage craw in bama bug texas rigged... 6lbs 5oz 4lbs 14oz 4lbs 12oz 2lbs 9oz
  16. Whats the difference in the Rage Tail Anaconda and the Rage Tail ReCon worms? I know the ReCon has a ringed body. Does the Tail of the ReCon perform the same way as the Anaconda? About to order some new stuff and was looking to buy some of the ReCons to try.
  17. So I'm fairly new to bass fishing, and being young and all, I don't have access to a boat (or a car for that matter), and I don't actually get to fish all that often, besides at a not-so-good pond down the street. HOWEVER, one thing I hate is when I do go fishing, not having the bait for the situation. Right now, my tackle bag has Berkley power worms (red shad and blackish bluish purplish color), yum dingers (watermelon red and a blackish color with a blue tip) and zoom lizards (same a s dingers pretty much), and watermelon red baby brush hogs, along with a spinnerbait, buzzbait, or jig here and there. Now I pretty much always just Texas rig these things, probably because I'm a lazy teenager (sometimes I even use snap swivels *gasp*). however, I'm looking to "expand my horizons" and start Carolina rigging, drop shotting and such. But I have some questions! First off, is drop shotting kinda like backwards Carolina rigging? That's how I interpreted it. Secondly, what situations would I use each rigging style in (I know I could find this elsewhere, but I've looked and really didnt understand). And also, shaky heads. I've heard them mentioned in many a bass fishing video. I understand theyre like little jigheads, to "stand the bait up"? Is this right? What style/ size jighead with what type of plastic? Lastly, so far, I've skimmed some other threads, been thinking I'll invest in a few more spinnerbaits, and some rage tail space monkeys. Maybe a crank or two (lot a weeds where I am, which deters me from wanting to use a crank). Thanks very much in advance, Octopusfingers
