I am making a trip to visit family in the Fort Myers area at the end of this week and am going to be doing some fishing. I have always wanted to catch a peacock bass and is my number one objective when I go. I just wanted to check on where to fish in the area to target peacock bass and what lures/bait to use. I am considering buying a prop lure to take with me.
Thanks for all the help in advanced!
Hi there. I am trying to surprise my boyfriend with a fishing trip to Miami to catch a peacock bass (his fishing goal). I read that Muami Falls Canal is one of the best places to catch one. Can anyone confirm this? Also, is it possible to enter the canals by boat? If so, can you give an address of one near by?
Sorry for all of the questions. We live about 4 hours north and I know nothing about the area. Any help with this is greatly appreciated!
This weekend me and some friends are coming from Virginia to Miami for a music festival, and while I have some free time I was going to do some fishing. I'm very experienced with inshore saltwater and bass fishing around VA, but what I'm hoping to catch in Florida is a peacock. I've looked into a few places like TY park and a few lakes around the house we're staying at, but if anyone has any suggestions on where to go that would help immensely. I'm trying to stay in the Hollywood area since I'm strapped for time, but would probably be able to venture out to Miami one morning if needed, any help would be appreciated.
Tight lines
Hey guys,
Just created my profile tonight and very new to this site. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a boat so my friend and I do a lot of bank fishing. Moved out to Davie, Florida last year and we are looking for a good hot spot for decent sized largemouth and peacock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
Hey everyone. I'm in Delray for the week, and where I'm staying is right on a run off from the c-15 canal. https://www.google.com/maps/@26.4271615,-80.085407,66a,20y,57.21h,45.12t/data=!3m1!1e3 <---This Is the canal I'll be fishing from. I tried fishing it today with some stick baits and a shad imitator, but only got one hit on the stick bait. My question basically is: what can I catch here and how.
Thanks
I'm looking for some new spots to fish for largemouth. I fish for peacock every weekend but I'd like some spots like ponds for largemouth near the southeast area of Miami. And please don't say there are spots everywhere because if that were true for where i live i wouldn't asking this question. Thanks in advance
Greetings everyone,
I'm new to this forum and fairly new to bass fishing. If you all can give me a hand, I'm looking for fishing spots in the Broward County area.
I've gone to the Silver Lakes Rotary Park and only been able to catch two small bass there.
Also, what color baits do you all suggest for these areas?
Thank you,
I'm going to be in naples next weekend and will have the opportunity to fish 1 day. Any advice of where to go?
Should I make the journey to okeechobee?
Is there any peacock fishing close by?
Any recommendations on lure selection or what the bass are relating to?
Any help will be much appreciated.
has anyone had any luck in the quarry lake up on 97th ave north of okeechobee? I scouted it out today but didn't see any peas. Anyone have success here? Pretty sure it's the one from that video posted on one of these threads
