    Hey guys, I am moving from Houston, Texas having fished Lake Conroe, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend for the last few years. My new location will be in Palm City, Florida just east of Okeechobee. Okeechobee is going to be a whole new ball game for me. I would be very appreciative if someone could give me a breakdown of the BIG O and just how to get started. I guess my plan is to continue reading a bunch of articles and get to flipping when I get there. As always, THANKS GUYS!

    Hi, Newbie here. Looks like a great site. We are considering going to Okeechobee and I am finding it hard to believe that I can't rent a boat for a week and dock it at my rental house. I really don't want to have to get off of the lake every day at 4:30 and unload all of our gear everyday, which is what the three main rental places seem to demand. Anybody ever find a place to rent one where you can actually keep it for the week? Or how about at least renting a cabin or something right at the boat rental place? Thanks in advance! Rocky

    I'm going to be in naples next weekend and will have the opportunity to fish 1 day. Any advice of where to go? Should I make the journey to okeechobee? Is there any peacock fishing close by? Any recommendations on lure selection or what the bass are relating to? Any help will be much appreciated.

    I have the opportunity to fish one of these lakes in the Spring. I am looking for input on which lake I should choose and if I should go earlier in February or later in March on these waters. I'm looking at the last week in February or the first week in March. This may be my only chance to do this so I don't want to mess it up. Need some input! Thanks!

    Hey!!! So with all this rain we have gotten, in south Florida, water height has risen, causing certain parts of the lake to flow. This in turn has caused the fishing to be a bit more difficult. To fight this I've been fishing shallow covered waters with no current. I'm just wondering what other people are doing. Thanks for the info!!!

    Heading down to Ft. Myers in a couple weeks and wanted to schedule a guided trip to Okeechobee one day. The closest shot from Ft. Myers will be Clewiston. I've seen Roland Martin Marina, but wanted to know if there were any guides I should seek out by name. I went out of the city of Okeechobee last year and had a great time. I know it's off-season now, but thought I'd try it anyway. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Check out this video of Tom Mann Jr schooling the schoolies on Okeechobee. I actually ran into him today at Roland Martin's Tiki Bar. He was having lunch with some clients and he remembered me, as my group used to sponsor him (and Bernie Schultz). He showed me this video on his Iphone and I thought I'd share it with you all. Yes, I know the spot. No, I ain't telling!

    I am going to Lake Okeechobee in a couple of weeks to be a marshal at the B.A.S.S. Elite series tournament. I was thinking about who, if I had the choice, I would like to marshal for. My top three would probably be KVD, Edwin Evers, and Gerald Swindle. Who would your top three be?
