  1. I made a decision about a week ago to give spybaiting a go this year. I had a friend order me some baits and then it occurred to me, I need a new rod! I had already planned to build this one as a dropshot rod, but I really don't need another one of those! Here's what it is. Blank: Rodgeeks C4610MXF (6'10") will extend to 7'. Guides: American Tackle TidalWave w/gold ring Cork: Tiger Trout burl & burnt burl Reelseat: PacBay slide rings I really HATE gold guides, but these ones just looked sexy to me, and I think they will pop on the green blank Stay tuned for the progress.
  2. Finally got enough repairs done that I feel I can start on a fun project. My buddy Jim helped me out in my booth at the ICRBE last month. We were located across from the RodGeeks. Staring at those candy colors all day must have got the best of him because he ended up ordering a Neon Pink crankbait blank. Now, the Barbie you can understand, but where the lumberjack comes in.....well, you see......Jim is 6'2" and goes 370ish. Hence, Lumberjack Barbie! Blank: Rodgeeks C273MM (Neon Pink) Guides: AmTak DGML MicroWaves Reel Seat: Fuji ECS Cork: Tiger Trout Burl Thread: Fuji
