  1. I was wondering how micro guides can effect casting distance. I know if you have leader it will not be a good thing to have, But lets say you use no leader, Is micro guide can make you cast farther?
  2. As a reference to any Legend Tournament Bass curious people. I have three fishing trips under my belt trying out 30lb Power Pro to 15lb Seaguar Red Label leader tied with an FG knot. I never tried this rig because I thought the micro guides would be too small to use braid to a leader. I even brought out an extra reel with straight Copoly just incase it didn't work out. I have to say, I have zero issues with it. The line is the same volume coming through the guides as my other rods with standard guides. I keep my joining knot out of the reel, usually between the first two guides when in casting position. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Hey all, I have an opportunity to buy a Falcon Bucoo Micro 7' Med/Moderate for a light crankbait rod. It is $129.99 on tackle warehouse and I can buy this 1 for $75. Would you recommend the rod? Looking forward to your input. - Dale
  4. i was looking at new rods for flipping and pitching and im interested in the Abu Garcia Veritas, but im not sure if i want the micro guide model or not, ive heard both positive and negative about them, what do yall think?
  5. I'm thinking about picking up the Lew's Tournament SL HM60 Micro Crankbait Casting Rod for all around cranking, but there aren't many reviews on the web about it, seeing how Lew's has only recently come back on the market. I know their reels are very good especially the Tournament Pro, but I haven't heard much about their rods. Anyone ever used them?
