  1. Anyone have any issues with the Daiwa Lexas in 300 and 400 size? I have a 300HS with power handle and a 400PWR with power handle. Both are for Musky, HS for smaller and faster baits, 400 for huge baits. Both are unused, but I'm wanting to possibly sell for Shimanos since I'm a Shimano guy. Just concerned about long term durability and quality of the reels since I haven't really used much Daiwa and I know these aren't top of the line or anything.
  2. Anybody know which bearings I should use in my Daiwa lexa 100h. They are fine just looking for better performance. Also what size would I need? Thanks.
  3. A couple of months ago I made the decision to change my fishing rods and reels to Daiwa after using Fenwick rods and Abu Garcia reels for years. I was gifted with a Tatula 100HSL 7.3:1 baitcaster for Christmas and have since paired it with a 6'6" MXF Lexa rod which comes with a very short butt section, a real plus when it comes to helping my lures walk the dog. The combo has become my dedicated topwater setup and lets me throw large baits a pretty hefty distance which is great for water coverage. I love jerkbait fishing and have also purchased a Tatula 7' MF spinning rod and matched it with an Exceler 2000SH spinning reel. Up until yesterday I didn't have a chance to use it but they were on a jerk bait pattern yesterday big time and the rod and reel proved their mettle, easily handling fish up to just under 5lbs. The drag system is smooth and the rod had plenty of backbone to drive those hooks home. My next purchases are going to include a Procyon 2500SH which is going to replace the Exceler 2000SH on the above combo. I'm also going to pick up the Tatula 7'1" MLXF spinning rod and am going to pair it with the Exceler 2000SH to throw lighter lures with, such as inline spinners and smaller jerkbaits and crankbaits up to 5/16oz. My final combo will be a Daiwa S 6'6" w/ a glass tip which I'm going to match with a Tatula CT 6.3:1 to throw both light crankbaits and spinnerbaits on. I'm excited about the products and quite happy with the changes I've made in my gear and can't wait to see how the next purchases perform when I get a chance to use them.
  4. hello all! im thinkin of stocking up on some Daiwa Lexa rods and reels. I'd like to get either a 6'5 MH lexa baitcast rod or a 6'6 M. both extra fast action and id pair them with the lexa 100 reels. my question is.. what would be some good uses for these rods? i already have: Veritas 7' M Winch for my crankbaits Veritas 7' MH Micro Guide for Texas Rigs and plastics Veritas 7' M for Jerkbaits and Some topwater Mojo Bass 7' MH Spinnerbait and squarebills Convergence 7'2 MH Worm&Jig maybe get a lexa for a dedicated frog rod? or all around topwater? suggestions please! thanks!
  5. I need a few rods, just getting back into fishing and my 30 year old Fenwicks don't seem like a good idea. Does anyone have any experience with these rods?
  6. I have switched my rods to all Dobyns Champion, I would like to switch all my reels to one brand. I have 1 Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier, 1 Revo Sx and a Lews bb1. I would like to switch to either lews, shimano or quantum. Whats your guys input? My max on a reel is around 200$ give or take some. Thanks, - The Pig Slayer
  7. Is it worth getting a Tatula over the Lexa? I have a Tatula and love it, but am really looking into a Lexa. The Lexa is just smaller and easier to palm, but also for some reason a little heavier (which I don't really care about).
